mind blowing technology …

have you been to a toy store lately? Fly pens that scan what you read and remember what you write, giant robo-rapters the size of my four year old, books that interact with your T.V. — if it doesn’t light up, move or talk back, it’s just not "cool." It is seriously mind-blowing, at least for someone like me. I am trying hard to hang in though — I just recorded my very first voice file — not without a personal tututorial from Cathy Z mind you. You’ll get to hear it very soon {at BPSB} — and just in case you didn’t already know how much of a nerd I am — this should pretty much seal the deal.

A little site update and our first round of classes will be posted on Wednesday, so be sure to drop in. My recorded message is part of a FREE class that we will be offering, so you can visit our virtual classroom and get a better idea of what we are up to.

I’ll sign off tonight with a portion of a comment left by Julie, who says

"I like to think of this concept as "Big Picture Living" and the scrapbooking is the container that captures the fresh aroma of all those moments." She goes on …"I have to share that I have journaled all of my tags for the tag book (in one massive session in the middle of the night), and I am so excited to put together my own tag book."

I can’t thank you enough for your comments, for opening your minds and for being so very kind with your words. I am touched and grateful.

PS "Get in the Picture" — if you haven’t already signed up, do it now. I’m going to use my new old phone to call person 3000 — they’ll also be getting happy mail!

  6. I must say I am just in heaven. I feel inspired and ready to start with a fresh attitude towards my photos. I bought your new book this weekend while on a three day shopping trip in the city with my mom and sister. I couldn’t put it down. I wanted to hurry back to the hotel room so I could start reading again. I feel energized and ready to start really gettind down my feelings on life in all sorts of ways with the help of this book. I have a feeling this is going to be my all time favorite right next to my CZ book.
Thanks for sharing your heart with us.

  7. Stace, between you and CZ, I don’t know who rocks more! I’m pretty sure it’s you (don’t tell Cath). The Big Picture is my favorite idea book to date (so is Clean & Simple) and I can’t tell you how much you’ve inspired me with your fabulous vision. Even though my scraproom is a terrible mess, I plan on getting started with Big Picture Scrapbooking despite it.
Can’t wait for Wednesday! Thank you for inspiring us little guys.
    Kathy

  8. Stacy, my son bought the FlyPen with his birthday money (he’s 9) and the thing is beyond cool! I thought he was nutty for the purchase, but the thing is made by the Leap Pad folks and it truly is amazing. I’m getting him some accessories for it for Christmas.
Can’t wait for the free class! You rock!

  9. Hey Stacy – SO COOL!!!! How do you know if you’ve already signed up? I did – but I didn’t get a confirmation or anything, so I’m worried it didn’t go through. I have my BPS book and SS Planner ordered and hopefully on their way soon!!! Can’t wait for 2006!

It is awesome that we get to participate in something like this. Being so far over the water we don’t all get the chance to come on over to the US and go to events such as CKU etc.
    Thank you so much!!!!!
