Paula is a turkey …

but I love her anyway, so I guess it’s my turn to answer some questions. By the way, if you haven’t met my partner Paula, visit her blog.

What were you doing 10 years ago?
I was preparing to teach in my very own booth at the D.O.T.S. convention. My class was called "Look how Versatile." Showing rubber stamps on scrapbook pages was part of my presentation. How surprised was I when Jeanette Lynton announced a new sister company called Close To My Heart, featuring scrapbooking products.

What were you doing one year ago?
Developing my Friends and Family CKU-A class and trying to find time to write a book.

Five snacks that you enjoy (in no particular order, as all snakcs are created equal):
1. dried cherries
2. popcorn
3. fig newtons
4. string cheese
5. yogurt, grape nuts and berries

Five songs to which you KNOW all the lyrics:
1. Give said the Little Stream
2. I am a Child of God
3. How Much is that Doggy in the Window?
4. You are My Sunshine
5. Star Spangled Banner

If I’m listening to them, I can pretty much sing all the words to Karen Carpenter, Olivia Newton John, Earth Wind and Fire and Dora the Explorer.

Five things you would do if you were a millionaire:
1. Give a bunch of it away to random people.
2. Buy one of my college roomates a car. We promised each other one night if either of us ever became a millionaire that we would be the other one a car!
3. Go places — take my family and go live overseas for a year.
4. Go skydiving more often.
5. Invest in Big Picture Scrapbooking – this was Paula’s answer, but I like it, so I’ll keep it.

Five bad habits:
1. picking my nose while I drive
2. picking zits on my face
3. staying up way too late
4. letting things pile up in my bedroom
5. not sending thank you notes

Five things you like doing:
1. sleeping — especially during the day
2. jogging
3. reading scriptures
4. playing with my boys
5. kissing my husband

Five things you would never wear, buy or get again:
1. a jumpsuit
2. high heels
3. shoulder pads
4. a perm
5. plastic storage drawers for my scrapbook room — I’m getting a new studio!

Five favorite toys:
1. ipod
2. blue tooth ear phone
3. Camera on my computer
4. Microphone on my computer
5. I don’t know – I guess my computer?

Five people you are tagging …

enjoy!

  1. yeah! you played, so awesome! I think these lists are so fun, I like getting to know more about people through them. and yum to the popcorn – I’m all about that! :-)

  2. I love reading these. It’s great to learn a little bit about another person.
I still think that is so wild that you used to sell CTMH before it became CTMH! So cool..
    Melissa

  3. Amy Stultz says:

#1. I can’t believe you admitted to the entire cyber world that you pick your nose in your car.
#2. Those are not snacks. Those are healthy snacks and their is a world of difference. A snack must be bad for you in some way shape or form.
Remind me sometime and I will tell you all about my chocolate covered raisin theory…now there is a PERFECT snack.

  4. Hey
How do you know Ali Russell? She is a good friend of mine and lived here (Louisville) while her hubby was in dental school
    Just curious
    Melissa

  5. I got tagged!! wahoo… LOL….. I’ll work on it today while I’m home sick from Church… silly cold!
    See you in a week!!

  6. Oh, D.O.T.S…. memories for me, for sure! :)

  7. Oh, D.O.T.S…. great memories for me! And, thanks to you (unbeknownst, I’m sure!) an old CTMH consultant friend and I rehooked up. She found me thru your blog! Remember Sharon Brown? How fun is that?!?! :)

  8. Wow…those are some pretty personal habits you revealed…nice to know that you’re human just like the rest of us!

  9. i totally had to LOL- really- at your bad habits! you are too funny- thanks for being so honest. : )

  10. thanks for tagging me! I’m soo excited to play!

  11. I loved reading your responses! I just wanted to pop on and say that not meeting you at CHA was my biggest regret of my trip. I saw you a couple of times but you were swarmed with people and I didn’t want to be one more person swarming you! Then I asked about you at the booth but you weren’t around. You know I tell everyone you’re my “hero” so at least it was fun to see you a few feet away. ha! Maybe next show I’ll actually say hello! Hugs!

  12. Hey there, Stacy J. We’re missing you here- but hope all is well in “Julian-world”. Busy as usual I’m sure…saw lots of pics from you in Vegas on other sites. You must LOVE your job!! You and all your other scrap-altogether too happy friends!
