I think I forgot to post my quote last week — bummer.
I heard this one in church on Sunday. I remember the first time I heard it, it struck a cord with me. When I heard it again, I knew I wanted to share it here. I think it is a remarkable thing to be a woman in this day and age. There is so much we can do and so many we can influence. Everything doesn’t always work in our favor, but we can accomplish so much when we trust in our gifts and intuition and when we have faith in ourselves and in God. Why not let these words inspire you in some feminine follow-through this week.
The world has enough women who are tough; we need women who are tender.
There are enough women who are coarse; we need women who are kind.
There are enough women who are rude; we need women who are refined. We
have enough women of fame and fortune; we need more women of faith. We
have enough greed; we need more goodness. We have enough vanity; we
need more virtue. We have enough popularity; we need more purity.
Margaret is a past president of the Young Women’s organization for the LDS Church I teach the 14 and 15 year olds in my congregation. Fun stuff.
