Say Hello to …

Aby Garvey and Allyson Bright my newest inductees into blog of the week (which is more like blog of the month, but let’s not make anybody feel behind or anything)

For those of you that took Aby’s class at BPS, you know she is a professional organizer — and boy is she ever professional (in a very good way) I am currently beginning the process that will allow Aby to help me set up my new studio in the new house. I am very excited about this. I also chatted with Aby the other day about Big Picture Scrapbooking and I am happy to announce that she is working on another great class for our "back-to-school" fall line-up. I won’t blow her secret, but I will say that we are on the same page when it comes to big-picture scrapbooking. Aby will help us in her next several classes focus on organization in our homes — especially in "high-activity" areas — the kind of organization that would buy you more time to scrapbook!  Anyway … pretty excited about this!

I had the good fortune of meeting Allyson Bright when I taught at Reminisce in IOWA. Allyson has just finished authoring the latest installment of IDIOTS guide on scrapbooking. This one is The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Scrapbooking Projects, and I have been asked to write the forward. I am so impressed with Allyson’s creativity and her writing. Its people like Allyson that will be successful in introducing new scrapbookers to our world — and I love that.

Anyway .. click on over and say Hi!

  1. Looking at my scrap space—and my kitchen, dining room and living room—I can sure use the “organization” class Stacy! LOL!
On the “running” side—I am up to running 1 mile (yes, that’s a 1)without stopping! A HUGE MAJOR FEAT for me—running is so mental! It’s hard to actually run it, but after I finish–I want to run more! Have a great week Stacy!

  2. How much fun for you to get to chat with all these cool ladies (and you’re being one the cool ones too)!
Can’t wait to get more organized – maybe Aby should have a contest – I’ll come to your house and re-create your scrap room. Wouldn’t that just be the contest to win????
In the meantime, looking forward to more BPS classes on that topic…assuming I get organized enough to put the teaching into practice!
(and I got my SS today – I started to read it in the post office, but then I remembered I have an HOUR of me time this afternoon, so I’m saving it. I can get a good start on it then!)

  3. What an honor to be blog of the week. Thank you Stacy!

  4. Love Aby Garvey’s blog. Excellent choice. I’m subscribed to her newsletter; there are some great tips in it. Good luck with your new studio.

  5. Ooooohhhhh, Aby’s class at BPS was AWESOME…so glad to hear she will be back in the Fall!!!

Between you and Wendy, I finally gave Aby a call. I had no idea one of her services was distance coaching by phone (and e-mail, and digital photos). We’re just starting the process, but from talking to her I’m very excited to get going. What a great idea to give her blog of the week(or month, or whatever!)!
