Allison is here …

and I’m so happy! She worked for SS with me in my home office for years, then moved to Vegas almost three years ago — she has done some travel with me since. She is here to meet Addie and attend our friend Meagan’s annual Christmas Card party (celebrating it’s 10th year) Meagan is one cool girl — and every November she hosts a mega card party, with decorations and soup and bread and goodies and music and everyone sits around and works on their cards!! Totally fun — starts Friday at noon.  I’ll be making baby announcements!

Speaking of baby, I have received so many wonderful wishes, cards and gifts — I am so thankful to you all. I am a bit behind in thank you notes — but I’ll get there. Don’t I have until Kindergarten so something like that?

Here’s the totally hip burp clothes and stroller blanket that Al made:

And the adorable package from Heidi — would that I could bring myself to open it!

There’s more — and I’ll keep sharing, suffice it to say that we have one very spoiled (in a good way) little princess on our hands!

The creativity is endless…thanks for sharing all of the inspiration!

  2. When my kids were small I used to sew for them. I loved looking at and buying the colorful fabric, buttons and bows…NOW I scrapbook for them. I love looking at and buying the colorful paper, buttons and bows. It’s a visual thing, it’s a creative thing…and a LOVE THING. Bonus thought: I can sew on my paper! How cool is THAT!

  3. Stacy,
Congratulations on your baby girl, I have four boys ages 14-7 and just returned home from Taiwan with our little princess 2 months ago, so I know how you are feeling and is it not just the best feeling ever? Thanks for sharing a bit of your life with us. She is a blessed little girl.

  4. Hey Stacy,

  5. Congratulations on your little girl! I am waiting for my daughter who is in China. The wait has been long and hard and we probably still have several more months to go. I am trying to use this time to catch up on my scrapbooking! Your story about your wait was an inspiration. Maybe you could feature more layouts about adoption in your magazine? There aren’t very many out there! :o ) Blessings on your expanded family.

  6. congratulations, again! your daughter is just beautiful. and what sweet gifts for her:)

  7. Stacy – congrats and so glad you are enjoying it so much. Think you may share your announcement design?? I have a 4 week old, and am at a loss for what to do,. . .not to mention those pesky thank you notes!
    Enjoy -
