Is so very exciting, because it represents a true labor of love. Just this weekend, my sister-n-law Hillary launched a website (beadhivejewelry.com) where she can sell her jewelry. 
I have been wearing bracelets she has created for several years (see my blog photo!)
The funny thing is, I’ve never been much of a jewelry-wearer, but I LOVE my Hillary bracelets (she even designed a special Simple Scrapbooks bracelet — with our signature blues and yellows — a few years ago for our editorial team.) Hillary has found her creative passion and it shows. She has a gift for selecting and putting together colors, textures, sizes etc … and I couldn’t be happier for her. She and my brother Cougar were at my mom’s house for Christmas last year and I got to watch her shop for beads at a little Pike’s Place Market shop in Seattle — which was amazing!

Her latest passion/specialty are the Kazuri bead necklaces (read the story on her site) I have the green one, and seriously it’s the only necklace I even wear.
I’m just so proud of Hillary. She is a busy, busy mom, works part-time helping struggling high-school students get their diplomas and has supported her husband in years and years of school (Cougar is working on his PhD.) She has found, like me that making time for a personal passion is a very healthy thing, that lends you energy and enthusiasm for daily life.
Hillary has a gift, and now you can share it with someone you love.

I love the bracelets! I have wondered where you got the ones you wear in the photo. I have checked out the web site, the only problem is that the bracelets are too small. 6.5 inches, especially on a chunky bracelet that tends to fit smaller anyway, won’t fit many people. Add another inch and I would order several, I generally wear a 7.25 inch bracelet and with the chunky beads the 7.5 would be perfect. Just a thought you might wish to pass along…
Your gift ideas are great, I have ordered a couple of them, I finally decided I had to have the gorillapod but the web site you referred is sold out – ladies if you procrastinated like I did, I discovered that Best Buy has them on sale this week!

I am more than happy to alter any bracelet for a custom fit. Just wrap a piece of string around your wrist to determine how you want your bracelet to drape. Keep in mind that the bracelet will be bulkier than the string. Measure the string and email me the measurement. This is great jewelry and came at a perfect time. I always buy my earrings from craft shows where people display handmade earrings. I JUST lost my favorite earrings I got 2 years ago and now I can order a new pair! And very reasonably priced-can’t beat that!
