Happy New Year’s Eve!

I’m generally happy celebrating this holiday on easter standard time, even though I live in the pacific time zone. This means I open my window at 9:00 p.m., listen really hard and say to the kids "Can you hear it? — I’m sure I can hear fireworks and pots and pans and a whole bunch of hoopla over in New York City" Then I get ready and go to bed. But, I just might be a little more exciting tonight and stay up late! Why? Because, we are finally unveiling our big surprise at Big Picture Scrapbooking! You should definitely go check it out. It’s a whole new look and feel — and a bunch of new features, with LOTS more on the way. The big kudos goes to Kayce this time. She and our programmer Brent have worked for months and around the clock for the last two days to meet this year-end deadline. We are so grateful and excited — this will be a big week for us, as we have several new classes starting. Heidi’s A Year to Remember, my Library of Memories, Renee’s Brushworks and Robin’s Love Story — you can still register for the last two as well as for some others beginning in February.

I want to thank all of you again — it’s been an amazing year, full of new things, adjustments, lots of learning and tons of hard work. I’ve learned again, that nothing worth doing should be done alone and I am so grateful to the people around me and in this worldwide scrapbook community — can’t wait to see what 2007 brings!

OK, go now.

  1. Stacy, I am so excited about this and can’t wait to see the changes.
I have to confess that for a short time I was so jealous of your scrapbook room and all the stuff you have. (thanks to cliquetv)It made me cry, cause I want stuff like that and I’d love to have a friend like you. Well I took a good hard look around me and smiled. I am so blessed. Tomorrow to start my New Year out I am getting some sprinkles and pretty napkins. I am going to clean and purge and live! Thank you so much.

  2. 2007 will be BIG!!

  3. I can’t wait to see the changes, the site is down right now for maintenance! I am so glad there are people like you in this world who are just altogether “too happy”! The site isn’t available yet (How much later can I stay awake??? LOL), but I’m so excited to see the changes (even though I LOVED BPS, just as it was). I’m signed up for the Library of Memories class, and I’ve been revisiting the courses I took in 2006. I’m thrilled to be capturing the big picture in my scrapbooking projects!

Love, Love, Love the new site. Discovered it this morning as the first site I went to. Easy to use and navigate – Thank You bunches! Can’t wait to register for some classes. Saddened that I missed out on Library of Memories but hope to do so next time it is offered. You will offer again this year? Pretty please? LIfe and work way too complicated to take many months ago when first offered and so busy this past month that I forgot to register in a timely manner. Again, love the new site and am excited to visit on a routine basis.
Lynne PS Give Addie and big hug and kiss!

  16. Stacy the new site looks amazing!!!!! I am also excited about the classes starting this week and all of the great new features you have a BPS!!! I am especially excited to see the My Big Picture Book!!!!

  19. love the changes to the new site – you and your staff did a superb job. I even made BPS my homepage for the web since there are so many more things to see and the format is so great. Looking forward to great BPS things in 2007 (AYTR and LOM on Thursday are a great start for me!)

  20. It looks GREAT!! So excited about all the amazing classes starting this week. Thursdays will always be my favorite day of the week because of BPS!!! Hope you had a great New Years celebration. Talk to you soon. :-)

  21. Love the new site – the colors, the new resources, the fun quote and color, and the new classes. I’m taking Heidi’s class this year so will be ‘on location’ often.

  22. I just tried to access the site and I got a message that it couldn’t be accessed! Hope whatever is wrong gets fixed soon because I want to share the excitement!

  23. Happy New Year, Stacy! :) I’m sure I could hear you shouting here in CDA. ;) Love the new design of the BPS site.

  24. No wonder you were so excited. I love it! I can’t tell you what a life line this site has been to me. I am currently living in the outback of Australia. We are half way through our 3 year tour and I know that my daily visit to BPS is that little bit of home that I miss. Keep inspiring, keep encouraging and keep keeping it simple!

  25. I still have to wait to see this site as I got the message ‘This sit cannot be found’ but I’ll check it out ASAP. Thanks for letting me be a part of your blog with my comments. Your family is gorgeous and I wish you all a happy, healthy 2007.

  26. What a fantastic new site, Stacy!
Is your Library of Memories class closed??? If so, will it be offered again later, pretty please!

  27. Donna Bettencourt says:

The new site is beautiful, Stacy. It is so organized yet soft and attractive, just makes it a place you want to be. Also, I think some things seem smoother….Great job Kayce and Brent also…I am taking LOM and am anxious toget started!!
    Donna (Lisa D’s mom !)

  28. How did I get here? It started with checking NASTAR and Karen’s race stats back in 1999′-2000′ in Park City. Caught my eye because of the last name. My wife Donna loves this kind of stuff. Provo Craft sells some of her stuff. Lots of hard work I see! Sincronicity into 2007′.

  29. WOW!!!! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!!!! I LOVE when good things get better – you ROCK!!! Thanks so much for all you do – you are a true inspiration!

  30. The new site is AWESOME! GREAT JOB Kayce and Brent! Can’t wait to really play on the site with all the new features! Stacy, I’m looking forward to Thursday for the Library class to start!

  31. Happy New Year! Great work on your site, I know how much effort and push it can take to get a revamp acocmplished, congratulations!
Looking forward to classes starting on Thursday. I’m taking your Library of Memories & Heidi’s class. I cleaned up my work area today in preparation, rearranged a few things, and bought a cute little desk from the antique shop, it is a perfect addition for my little space. Where does all the paperwork come from??? I tossed about 3 laundrybasket-fulls of paper, magazines and stuff that just accumulated. Tomorrow, I’m hooking up my new epson printer, yeah! Looking forward to a very productive year.
    Take care, Maureen

  32. Stacy – I love the site. Just what I need in 2007 more ways to get inspired! Keep up the good work. By the way when do you get any sleep?!?!?

  33. BPS…Love it! Love it! Love it! Looking forward to signing up for some online classes at BPS and I could kick myself for being too frugal to sign up for your LOM class that begins tomorrow. Rats! Happy New Year!
    Stacy :-)

  34. I love the new look at BPS – especially being able to see all the classes I’ve taken :)
    Happy Neew Year!!!!

  35. Hello, First of all…I love the new look of the website and am really excited about the new features. Oh and I can see the galleries from previously taken classes…LOVE THAT!
So I am trying to decide if I want to do the Scrap Fever weekend in London or not. I am going to Germany to see my sister and could go to Scrap Fever first so it’s a toss up of Scrap Fever or CE in September which may not happen any way if I’m pregnant in the next few months…ok so really what my question is what classes are you going to be teaching?
And any other information you have on all this would be so greatly appreciated!
I did check out there website but can’t seem to find anything about the classes…maybe I’m just blind!!!
    Thanks again,
    Trina McBride

I’m just re-watching the Cliquetv episodes and I would love to hear more about your green binder!!!
Please share what categories etc you have in it.
    Thank you so much,

  37. Totally off subject, but can you share your banana brownie recipe? I have tivo’d the BYU scrapbook shows and love it when you have stopped by. Also, so happy about your little girl, my family adopted all of my siblings and two were from Romania. It’s so beautiful to take them and be sealed together!
