really cute shoes …

and banana shakes and Fiskars TV …

these and about a gazillion others are at the new online shoe store owned by GAP. check it out at trust me, you’re going to wish you had a paper route . Paula sent me the link and I’m in trouble!

and if you need a new idea for brown bananas, you’ve come to the right place — just peel them and keep them in the freezer in a big zipper bag. Start by pouring about 3 cups of milk into your blender and add two to three frozen bananas — blend at high speed until creamy.

Sometimes I buy frozen berries at Costco and drop a handful or two in also and sometimes we add some vanilla creamer – makes it extra sweet! You reallly should keep a can of whip cream in your refridgerator and sprinkles in your cupboard just for banana shakes. We had them tonight with soft tacos — kids love em!

Just in case your not convinced that I am a huge dork — you should go watch me on Fiskars TV. I did a little segment with hostess to the mostess, Suzanne Fanning and we had a blast. The sound guy wasn’t having a very good day — but we made the best of it.  The best part for you is the fact that I unexpectedly and on-air gave a way a ton of cool stuff — the march/april issue of SS, Heidi Grace papers, paper trimmer and the ultra-cool cutting mat [5 sets of everything] I LOVE giving stuff away — makes me happy.

  1. Heehee! I love the paper route comment. We substituted for a friend’s paper route on the day after Thanksgiving one year. It took us 6 hours to do what he normally did in two & 14 years later we’re still very afraid.
Cute shoes! I will have to check them out. I noticed your shoes in your PR pictures.

Strawberry-Banana shakes (with a smidge of flax seed) is the dessert of choice around here! (And I have those exact same drinking glasses!)

  3. Banana shake sounds good! Mmmmm!
Where can I find Fiskar’s TV? Is it on a certain channel like HGTV? Never heard of it and I love their products!

  4. Hi Stace,
That was really cool and not at all dorky :)
I’m in your LOM class and even though I’m so far, far behind (oh my yes so far behind), I’m actually not sweating it. Every time I get to sit and do a pile of photos or a small assignment I’m still making progress. It’s been a wonderful ride so far.
I’m also really enjoying getting to know you a bit more. You’re like a really great cyber-friend that I already know I have a lot in common with. Oh well, maybe we’ll meet one day. All this to say thanks from the bottom of my heart. Not just for your LOM/simple theories but for putting a piece of yourself out there every time. You live a very authentic life.
