Did you know …

Img_4525
you can take your lizard for a walk?

I would love to know who invented this! I imagine some kid, somewhere saying to his mom, "I wish I had a leash for our lizard …" and then, well see for yourself.

For the record I am Altogether Overwhelmed today.
Home from London and dropped quite unprepared into the middle of Spring Break. Simply couldn’t face unpacking so I cleaned the garage for a day and half — did some other fun things with kids in between. Pulled off a decent Easter Sunday — hope you did too. Now I have to face the piles and try and decide which are most important.

Just wanted you to know, I’m alive.
Working on a Spring challenge for myself (that I will also share with you!)

  4. OK, I have no interest in having a lizard…but after seeing that photo, I think that my son could persuade me! Welcome back…missed reading your stories & seeing your fabulous online finds!
    =)

  5. Hi Stacy,
I did not have any doubt you would be alive and smiley but it tales time to recover from a 8 hour jet leg. Hope you do have enough time to rest.
That leash is sooo very cool! We have one for our cat but he doesn’t like that much, hopefully will lizard will enjoy more than our cat. Take care and easy in order to keep your beautiful smile.

  6. Glad you’re back! Missed your posts!
You are a better woman than I – a hamster and hermit crabs are as far as I’m going – no way are we having a lizard! He’s a lucky boy!
    Hang in there!
    Take care,
    Beth

  7. …for the lizard who has everything…
    that is TOO funny.
    Happy Easter, happy return.

  8. I’m chuckling about the different colored socks, welcome back!

  9. Glad you’re back. Sounds like quite a spring break. I just completed mine and will be heading back to the classroom tomorrow. Hope to hear more from you about your London trip when you have time to catch your breath.

  10. How cute! My son just got one of those lizards (I must have been having a weak moment) and we were just talking the other night about putting it on a leash. She is a little small now but I am sure she will grow fast and we will be walking her around the house. I prefer my pets with fur and a deep bark, but this little critter is growing on me – just a bit. Thanks for sharing!

Welcome back Stacy, sure missed you here and over at LOM! Hope my fellow Brits looked after you well in the UK.
Happy (belated) Easter to the Julian family (and lizard!)

  15. Love that photo! Not only does the lizard on a leash remind me of when my son was young, but the one green sock and one black sock reminds me of him even more! Gotta love our boys!

  16. Glad to see my child isn’t the only one who enjoys wearing two different colored socks at one time! I HAVE to get a picture of it someday soon! Thanks for the chuckle…

  17. Another one that saw the socks first :) I can’t stop thinking about the Alice in Wonderland line… forget the leash, what he really needs is “a lizard with a ladder”!

  18. Welcome home Stacy! Great picture of the lizard walk BTW!

  19. Love the picture, Stacy! I just scrapbooked a pic of my son with his two different colored socks on-because I took him out that day to run all my errands, just as he dressed himself…and I titled it, “UNIQUE!”

  20. Hadn’t even noticed the socks but loved the lizard leash – I’ve just forwarded the photo on to my nephew who will love it!! Hope you get yourself sorted out soon, I hate unpacking!!

  21. Welcom home! Looking for to hearing all about London. I’m going in July. Thanks for the heads up about Willow Tree Crafts. It’s now on my itinerary. Did you find any other crafty stores? If so, let me know!

  22. did not know you could *walk* them! this brings back memories of when my bro and i would catch them from our backyard, with little nooses made from blades of grass, and take care of them in an old fishtank my grandpa gave us. cool mem. thanks for sharing!
