I’m bringing …

Trey! And Rebecca was the first to guess — in fact, just as she mentions he was the only family member left — how funny is that? One adorable Heartfelt album is on it’s way to YOU, Rebecca!

I’m here with Darci, who got a Cannon Rebel for her birthday — we played around a little, looking for the light and I thought this one turned out good.

Man do I look old and tired! I spent roughly $2 a minute on a quick trip to Target. I couldn’t decide, so I got both — yes, I have some serious issues in this store.

I actually flew down to see my sweet Ashli get married today. Ashli has been my best babysitter and friend for six years. She was all of a sudden totally grown up and radiant

but I managed to catch her a few times, as I know her best!!
Nothing like time with your sister and a wedding to remind you that life really is good.

  1. Great picture of your sister and such fun wedding photos! So special that you could go to the wedding!

  2. Too funny, I bought that exact same bag today – in the “crayon box” colors.

  3. MaryRuth says:

I can’t believe Ashli is MARRIED!! She’s such a BEAUTIFUL BRIDE!!!
LOVE the picture of Darci… she’s stunning.
What’s with me and the caps button today???
    Love the pictures!

  4. lovin’ that pink sash, I hear they are totally in…wish I would’ve thought of that on my day. color just adds so much :)

  5. the photo of Ashli just makes me laugh…it’s such a kid-like expression, all wrapped up in a bridal gown. love it!!

  6. Nilaja Whitaker says:

oh! ashli looks adorable. i’m totally loving the pink sash! stacy, do you think you’ll ever teach any classes in the southeast? i live in columbia south carolina, and i would travel to nc, georgia, or florida to take one of your classes!!!

  7. great pics. and I so hear you regarding Target… it’s a dangerous place for me too! HAVE A BLESSED MOTHERS DAY WEEKEND Stacy.. with your family and your new little girl!

  8. I’ve been reading your blog for awhile and I just wanted to say your life sounds very exhausting, but satisfying!
Oh yeah, I can relate to the Target issue! I have 8 kids and when I go in for *just* diapers I leave with clothes, books, movies, towels, etc… and sometimes I remember the diapers.

  9. Beautiful pictures from the wedding and of Darci!
…and if I see 2 of something I like I always buy both… it just makes you happy!

  10. Rebecca Foxworth says:

Am laughing at your “old and tired” comment…so often we don’t see how we’re perceived by the world. You come across as young, energetic, and a bit like Spring! I was browsing past the http://www.doveproage.com website for Dove products today (beauty over 40), and thought “Stacy should enter the casting call…her whole ENERGY is youthful!”

  11. I love Target, too!
Ashli is the cutest bride! Love your photos.

  12. very pretty new banner, and i love weddings! just went to suzy’s daughter’s last weekend. beautiful.

  13. The moon is gone.
    She fled as dawn approached.
Dawn as a slowly opening eye.
White sea birds skimming over the water,
looking for an early morning snack.
    The mirror brightens.
From a blood moon at dawn to a mirror
    reflecting waking life…
I woke her to take the moon.
Her campaign was swift and terrible.
    Metallic and fierce.
    Glaring up in the twilight.
But the moon was both implacable and unreachable
and in the end the war against the moon failed.
As dawn rose slowly from her bed, the moon slipped away.
But in the end, all that was lost,
    was a little sleep….
    1 June 2007
    Burning Moon
    Moon Fire
    Blood Moon
    smoked Moon
    Smoky Moon
    Smouldering Moon
    4 June 2007
After the storm, my mine cleared.
And a high wind arose and blew the tropics north.
