Twelve days of blogging and gift-giving fun and twelve months in the year — can’t think of a better way to wrap up this crazy list than with some monthly clubs that give twelve times a year.
Cookie of the Month Club
perfect for a long-distance friend who would LOVE a reminder, every 30 days that you love, appreciate and miss her (or perhaps a son or daughter away at school)
Here’s how it works:
Each month, on the first Tuesday, the lucky recipient will get an artful Dancing Deer gift box filled with over a pound of the featured cookie flavor plus a little bonus!
Here’s the line up for 2008:
Maple Oatmeal Raisin (Jan)
Shortbread Hearts (Feb)
Chocolate Tangerine (Mar)
Sugar Cane Lime (Apr)
Mountain Cookies (May)
Lemon Butter Daisies (Jun)
Maple Oatmeal Raisin (Jul)
Molasses Clove (Aug)
Chocolate Chip (Sep)
Cherry Almond Ginger Chews (Oct)
Chocolate Peppermint (Nov)
Festive Holiday Stars (Dec)
And good news — it’s a subscription deal, so you pay just $13.95 plus S&H to your chosen destination.
Next up, plants and flowers of course … these are a bit pricey, but if you can swing it, think how this kind of gift would cheer someone living alone or far away (like a grandparent)

There are obviously many clubs to choose from, I liked this one really well. If you simply want to know what each month’s flower and symbolic meaning is, go here
Red Envelope has some very cool gift sets that include 12 items. They come all at once, but still have that ‘keeps on giving’ feeling.

LOTS of other monthly clubs available, here and here
and of course, BPS is hosting a new (and FREE) book club. Join in the fun here and if you’re really smart, you’ll also sign-up for our "handmade book of the month" taught by the amazing Tena Sprenger.
Stocking stuffers coming tomorrow btw

I love the cookie of the month club! That is such a cool gift. Another one I thought of (that costs next to nothing) is a recipe of the month. Each month send a card with a little note, and a recipe with some food that works with the theme of that month!
I love the plants idea, thanks Stacy.
MMMM Cookies but wait no brownies of the month? What’s with that? But still cookies is a good one might need a little gifty to me, hey I deserve it I work hard.
*Totally hijacking your blog Stacy, sorry*
EmmaJ: That idea totally totally rocks! I am so using this, thank you!

Peace~
Rose
P.S. Are you sure it’s been 12 days;)
Stacy-
This has nothing to do with your post today! I just received my Simple Scrapbook magazine for Jan/Feb 2008. I was reading your not on page 13 and was wondering what kind of daily planner you use? I’m assuming that’s your planner in the picture on the right side? Please let me know! By the way, this issue was great! I have all kinds of sticky notes sticking out from pages! I especially enjoyed the article from Ali Monson with the album about herself and the tips about combining patterned paper! Keep up the great work!
Sort of related, DS get’s an animia mag every month as an XMAS gift from my dad, he loves it,we are going into year 4 now, he says it’s the gift that keeps on giving!
Fun 12 Days of Shopping through your eyes. Thanks.
Sue
