time flies …

wow. happy new year!
I took a deliberate and needed break for a few weeks and I think I’m finally ready to come back.

Here’s a quick recap of highlights, primarily for family (and once again I’m reminded that I’m not much of a Christmas photographer — and actually, this year I’m ok with that. I really enjoyed just being engaged and removed from the picture-taking role)

After I did the 12 days of Christmas here on my blog, I did a 12 day countdown for the kiddos. Easy — posted envelopes with notes, one for each day. Sometimes they got a treat or gift and other times something to use as part of an activity or something. I

know many of you do a variation of this, this is my first time — would definitely do it again. I pasted a small Dec. calendar in my book of lists that kept me on track. fun.

I do love taking shots like this — they feel so real life to me. Here are the snowmen mugs full of eggnog (Day 3 or 4) waiting to be discovered in the fridge.

Ok, totally did the  send cards to soldiers thing — thanks to Becky’s KOTM cards (btw, check out her new updated site.) Please, lets make these an annual thing (Becky?) I loved this set and all the extra tags, etc.. Since more than half of my official cards have not been sent yet, it was nice to get something out on time — if you’ve expecting a card, don’t give up yet (I haven’t)

Loved hanging out with this adorable child — from states of total exhaustion as she attempted to keep up with her family to magical moments of curiosity and wonder.  So delightful.

gotta run to Trey and Taft’s classrooms.
more later on some fun things happening now and very soon!!
stay tuned.

  9. Stacy, Wonderful pictures….Addie is too precious for words. The snowman mugs-Target,right? I saw them there and thought of you. I bought one, because we already had an older designated set for my girls and I plan on using it in my scrapbooking room for pens and markers. Love the colors!

  19. Just read your book “The Big Picture” and it is exactly what I needed. I have struggled with Chronological scapbooking and do I make one for each child? You released me from that! Can you tell me what type of scrapbooks you use for your family fun library? Thank you SO much!
