17 things i made

I'm sick and I think my blog is sick too. I keep posting this and it keeps disappearing. Not sure what I'm doing wrong?

Anyway, Cathy sent me the link to this cool video that Amy K Rosenthal (Enclyclopedia of an Ordinary Life) made, because we are both huge fans of AKR. When you are done with 17 Things, watch this one to see what was made on 8.08.08 at 8:08 pm.

I love it when people do crazy things that bring other people together — very inspiring.

  1. VERY cool video’s Stacy. But you should have put a tissue warning on there. I cried like a baby. That was so very, very cool what Amy did. :-)

  2. i’ve been able to see all your posts today–wonder what’s up with your end? hope you feel better

  3. I don’t know why but that made me cry!!! I loved it!

  4. I saw this a few months ago and thought it would be a totally fun mini-album.
I can put pictures of scarves I have knitted and some oil paintings and scrapping stuff. How fun would THAT be?

  5. I think you might have the ‘let down’ bug – that’s what we call it at work – never fails that after we’ve struggled REALLY hard with a project or something personal that HAD to be done, then once we relax – bingo someone gets sick… [I think there's been studies done on this too...] and you’ve had a LOT on your plate these past few weeks. — Hope you feel lots better real soon!

  6. I’m a big AKR fan as well! If you haven’t read Little Pea, pick it up from the library, it’s great.

  7. Wish had been there on 8808 at 8:08 pm….this is so lovely….cried like a baby as well. Whew

  8. that was so cute and I love the comment about using the “what I made” idea and making a mini album

  9. I love your post today…and guess what? I AM SICK TOO! I think I am being punished for saying 1 too many times “I never get sick!) I guess after flying in 3 airplanes, being in the ER with a sick daughter at Disney and walking around the “Happiest Place on Earth” I was exposed to too many germs! I am a walking Nyquil commercial and I am not liking it! I feel a tiny bit better today, for that I am grateful, I hope you are too.
Today I will spend some time on the couch going through old issues of scrapbook magazines and pulling out pages I love to put in a binder. I sorted through my room before I got sick and decided 4 years of magazines was too much to keep. Maybe when I am feeling better I will have a new sense of inspiration and create some amazing pages and projects. I wish for you Stacy a hot cup of tea today. Cheers.

  10. Hope you feel better soon.

  11. Stacy,
I “applied” with Amy K R. to become an Ambassador of Loveliness. I received from her an official Ambassador kit, that included a metal dog tag with Ambassador of Loveliness on it, a duct tape wallet to hold business card sized cards with that video link on it to hand out to people, and a bag of jelly bellies. So my job as an ambassador is to go out and spread the word about all the loveliness.
Amy is one truly special person.

  12. I just adore Amy’s video(s) and inspiration to do this project… I sent the links onto 20 special people in my life.
Thank you for sharing and hope you feel better soon.

  13. I hope you feel better soon, Stacy!

  14. Feel better! We’re all thinking of you. Can’t thank you enough for LOM! LIFE changer, LIFE saver! Finding myself CRUISING thru pages in Cathy’s BPS class!
    Many hugs,

  15. Not something I should have started watching at work… after I compose myself, I’ll finish the 2nd half.
Thank you for sharing, I must pass this along.
