4 Days to Thankful

Sorry I didn't check in yesterday. I was having too much fun. My mom and dad drove over from Seattle and we attended a free kids concert downtown and then watched Clark in the closing night of his high school play. He played Peter Van Dann in Anne Frank. Believe it or not, I've never read the book, so I've read it as Clark has prepared this fall. The entire cast did an outstanding job — any version of this story leaves you in a solemn and contemplative mood.

So … today is Sunday. Sundays, in spite of still being very busy around here are viewed as a day of REST.
I am therefore giving all challenge takers the permission to "rest" from one of our goals. You can either eat sugar or skip your 30 minutes — I suppose you could even stay up late, but that would be the last one I'd pick.

I'll check in tomorrow … my Seattle report from last weekend is posting later today.


  1. Took my girls out shopping for DH’s birthday today and on the way home we drove through Wendy’s and they got Frosty’s. I behaved. Came home and had one of those honey crisp apples with peanut butter instead! I’m hanging in there.

  2. Whoops! I jinxed myself by commenting that the rest of the time would be easier to avoid sugar. Forgot about a dinner party I was attending Saturday night. When a server puts a slice of delicious pie in front of you, what do you do??? Well, I ate it! So, I’ve messed up 2 days in a row on sugar, but I was good on Sunday and have been keeping the other two prongs of this 3 prong challenge. I’m REALLY looking forward to Thanksgiving! :)
