National Sandwich Day and HSM

I'm working on a longer post, but today is a Monday and I always make unrealistic lists on Mondays. For this reason, I am popping in with two quick things:

Peanutbutterjellyspreader2

1. It's National Sandwich Day. I have probably missed lunch for most of you, so why don't we all get a really good loaf of bread and make sandwiches for dinner. I'm so doing this. My kids will LOVE it! And if you don't read this until later this week … it's OK, you can extend the celebrations past today. No one will complain.

2. I LOVE High School Musical and have talked to two people in two days that haven't ever seen it, at all! What? Please, please … if you have not seen a HSM movie, rent one. Pop some popcorn and sit back for some good old fashioned fun. The story lines are dorky I know … but the dancing? For me, HSM ROCKS!! And now that I know how to embed YouTube into a blog post, you can enjoy my MOST favorite number from HSM3, right here. Dedicated to my boys, The Boys are Back  …

Oh, and one more thing …

CHECK OUT the amazing pages Kelli Crowe did with my Cocoa Daisy Kit. WOW!!

Happy Monday!

  1. YAY We are HUGE HSM fans around here! I even CRIED at the last one hahaha I’m always amazed to when I hear of people who haven’t seen the movies.

  2. I LOVE PB&J sandwiches! I made one for my dd and ds this morning. I’ll have one tomorrow since I already ate lunch.
Add me to the list of those that haven’t seen any of the HSM movies. Sorry, but I think my dd is too young and they hold no interest for me.
Love what Kelli did with your kit. :-) Happy Monday!

Saw HSM3 with my daughter this weekend. (Holy cow, it’s expensive to go to the theater these days!) Now I’m waiting for it to come out on DVD so we can watch the dances over and over again.
The Boys Are Back – that is my favorite too! I don’t want to give anything away to those who haven’t seen it yet, but didn’t you just love it when Troy and Chad crawled under the car and came out “little” on the other side?! I was grinning from ear to ear!

  5. Last weekend was family weekend at my oldest daughter’s college, so the rest of us drove up to see her. We spent the day shopping at the Mall and when the girls (3 teenage daughters – imagine!) got tired of walking, we all went to see HSM3. The plot line was the thinnest of the three, but the dancing was awesome! Definitely a feel good kind of movie.

  6. Great video!! Reminds me of Footloose for some reason :) My kids love HSM. Unfortunately we haven’t seen HSM3 yet…just been too busy. But we certainly will soon!!

  7. I love the HSM movies, and I have 2 little boys! I don’t care! They’re just fun to watch and sing along with. I want to see HSM3 soon. The first one is my favorite, but that may change once I see the third one!

  8. All right, Stacy. You brought it up. :P
My nine-year-old daughter has been begging me to let her see them since the first one came out, and we’ve said no. It looked too….mature/90210/young love focused to us from the advertisements. I trust you as a Christian mom, so tell me. Is it appropriate for her? No pressure. :)

  9. That’s my fav song from HSM too. My dd is 8 and loves that movie. And I find that I love alot of the songs too.
My fav from HSM 2 was I don’t dance.

Well, I just finished a peanut butter and jelly sandwich…and I just looked a kellicrowe’s blog before coming here.
No I have not seen HSM, BUT I did watch your You Tube and what a flash from the past it was for me. “Footloose” all over again.
    Thanks for a smile.

  11. love, love, love HSM!! can’t wait to own #3 so we can watch it repeatedly like we do with 1 and 2!

  12. Have to say I haven’t seen any of them but I am taking my 8 yr old to HSM On Ice on Thurs…a mom and daughter date. Oh, that PB & J looks delish!

  13. Love HSM3. I took my 7yo daughter to see it on the opening night. I love the music. I came home and purchased the soundtrack on itunes!!
I am still wondering where you got the polka dot sweater last week! I was hoping you would blog about it. I know there were lots of people who were wondering!! :)

  14. All my kids, two boys age 5 and 8, and my daughter age 12, love these movies and I do too! My boys currently have a wrestle/dance they do to The Boys are Back, they call it the BAB fight- Pretty fun stuff-

  15. I maybe almost 40 but I am willing to admit even though my 11 yr old daughter has kind of moved on I still love HSM! The music is on my iPod!! It is a little addicting. Luckily I still have a 3 yr old DD that loves it as much as I do!! Makes me feel good to know I am not alone. BTW my 11 yr old was also a nerd for Halloween. Great minds think alike I guess!

  16. What you say about HSM I say about your lack of reading Twilight! LOL What?!?! Seriously, though, we love HSM in our house too!

  17. Bonnie Fox says:

My girls are 3 and 5. They got hooked because my of my older niece. The girls don’t quite get all the story but love the music and dancing. We just went this weekend to see HSM3…they loved it and so did I. It is like the Grease of my time. And of course I have a SECRET CRUSH on TROY!!! Don’t tell my husband.
