The Creativity Project.

I'm going to do this in March.

Every day.

Lisa Day teaches at Big Picture Scrapbooking and I have so enjoyed seeing her develop herself as a creative person and teacher. She is working on a really cool workshop called The Challenge of Me (more info coming soon) and love that she is inviting her blog readers to be more deliberate about daily curiosity and playfulness.  I'm excited to add this daily effort to my Project 365 picture-taking. I certainly do not need another thing to do, but because I have so much on my plate right now, I think this project is perfectly timed for me. It will be my excuse to engage in unnecessary creating and invite intentional PLAY into each day. I'll keep my list of creative acts on the left (see the Project Creativity link.)

If you're in, be sure to email Lisa ( and let her know.

  1. Sounds like fun :)
    Hey Stacy:
Here’s what I hear from my friends who are for the most part busy moms (some working outside the home some not): They see my scrapbooking room & all my scrapbooks & then they say something like: “I bought a kit a few years ago but I never did anything with it and I just have piles of photos” and/or “I just don’t have enough time.”
So I’ve been thinking I’d like to start a crop in my area but wouldn’t it be cool to have a formula for the crop – like just bring your photos & a basic tool kit & if you’ve got some scrapbooking supplies bring them but if not I’ve got plenty. Then it would be cool to have a couple of pages for “here’s how to get started” – simple, easy stuff.
So I’m thinking – you could make some kind of little free online thing for your BPS site that could be used as a party planner – how to get your want to be scrapbooker friends into scrapbooking in 5 easy steps (or some clever title that is shorter than that).
I’m going to start my planning stages for a non scrapbookers scrap & I’ll keep you posted on my progress. :)

  2. I really wanted to take Lisa’s Journey to Perpetual Happiness class, but couldn’t fit it in at the time. Is there ANY chance this will be held again?

  3. how fun! can’t wait to see what you come up with!

  4. Hum! Just seeing the pencils and all those beautiful colors makes me interested. Can’t wait to hear more.

  5. Oh I’m so in on this Creativity Project. I just finished Lain’s LOAD…it was amazing! Not sure what I’ll do for 31 days but it doesn’t just have to be scrapbooking. Love the waffles, whip cream and sprinkles kind of idea Lisa had on her blog.
