NOTE: The *fancy* glass is very important. I have a mish mash collection from garage sales and 2nd hand stores. If you don't spend very much money, you won't feel bad when something is broken — and actually, now that I think about it, the two tall glasses pictured here are left-overs from candles I purchased last summer.

The only other requirement is that you speak in a lame French accent when you serve these to your kids.
FUN. EASY. Memorable.

  1. YUM!!! totally doing this for breakfast w/my child care next week!!1
we’ve been doing some similar for snack @ the picnic table in the back yard this month-crushed graham crackers, vanilla yogurt, strawberries & blueberries & they build their own in short mugs.

  2. Great idea and so pretty too. TFS

My spin – I do the all natural plain yogurt (surprisingly the kids love the tangy flavor) then I add frozen blueberries or strawberries or etc., add a drizzle of honey & top it with granola. But I like your spin…it’s always nice to mix things up a bit and we have all those cereals and I ALWAYS have whipped cream :) BTW, you have also led me down the sprinkle path. I find myself buying them all the time now :) My kids thank you!

  4. Awesome! We’re sprinkles people, too.:) Love the tip about cheap fancy glasses. :)

  5. Love this idea! Great way to start the morning – a little surprise in the morning – a great treat! I used to think that I should get rid of all my knick knack glassware, but you made me think twice! Great to keep around for fun things like this!

  6. so cute! need to find some of the glasses at a garage sale too!

  7. I’m going to Goodwill right now…. so genius! Perhaps this will sway my kids away from their daily Pop Tart??? ;)

  8. I made this right after I read your post and the kids gobbled it up!
They were so excited about the sprinkles. lol
    Fun stuff! Thanks

  9. Okay, so I usually don’t do this, but after reading this and seeing the cute pictures I went to DI and found some beautiful footed glass mugs. I am going to try a festive dessert for the 4th. My little graddaughter will love it-she’s 2!

I picked up the supplies last night and made a breakfast parfait for my daughter this morning. She loved it and asked if she could have it again tomorrow for breakfast! LOL Thanks for such a simple and FUN recipe. :)
