Quote for June 22

“If only we wanted to be happy, it would be easy; but we want to be happier than other people, which is difficult, since we think them happier than they are.”

Speaking of "happier" if you haven't read the book, Happier by Tal Ben-Shahar
I highly recommend it. It would make a great summer read that you could pick up and put down easily — and frankly, a book that I can put down is critical when all the kids are home!

I'll be back later today with some BINGO Q+A.

  1. That book is so awesome, I love it!

  2. Kristin Kanner says:

The Bingo is a fabulous idea and we immediately implemented it in my house despite the fact that my kids go to camp since I work full time. I put things like read for 15 minutes, learn a multiplication table, make a craft etc. It’s a big hit and my kids need a little spending money!! Thank you thank you thankyou!!

  3. Been thinking about you lately as I have re-evaluated how I scrap. I have decided that color makes me feel sooo creative! So for the past few days I’ve been sorting and now everything looks just great and so raibow-ee in my space. Thanks for your inspiration. Also was flipping through your BPS book yesterday. I LOVE that thing!! It is one of my most treasured books!!!!

  4. It is very interesting that you posted this book today, as I am a college instructor and just did a professional presentation for a state conference on finding flow for my colleagues. I combined this book’s information with other references that I have researched over the years on contentment. Of course, when discussing flow I included scrapbooking as one of my happiness boosters. I was actually going to email you about incorporating the concept of it to teach a class for BPS – very ironic that it shows up on your webpage not even one week later.
