BPS has new look + new features

In case you haven't had a chance to visit Big Picture Scrapbooking since last Friday night … We have BRAND NEW look and several new features.

One that I am particularly excited about is our Big Picture Forums. Up until now the only conversations around BPS classes had to happen inside our classroom forums. There has not been a place for prospective students to ask questions or read reviews and there has not been a place for loyal members to connect outside a classroom environment.

I just received this email from Jan in Arizona yesterday:

I just wanted to tell someone how much I loved Erin’s class.  I had never taken an online class before, so I was a bit hesitant to try.
Erin made this “first time” experience and amazing one for me.
I made the project, gave it to my husband for Father’s Day…and then went back to Compendium books where I got several other books. (this was an amazing resource for me)..
I used all of the techniques Erin taught in this class to make a very special book for a friend who has just been diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer.
Using class pictures of all of our lifelong friends(there are 12 of us that started grade school together and are about to celebrate our 50th high school reunion), I was able to make this very special gift for her.
My husband puts my “special scrapbooks” to music and makes a video for me, one that I can keep when I give scrapbooks to friends and family. Now I have a CD with memories of that special message I sent her.  I also was able to send CD’s to all of the friends that I had included in the album…..It made a very special memory for all of us.

Thanks again!  You can be certain that I’ll be taking more classes this way!
Jan (in AZ)

Now, I'm able to do something with emails like this. I just started a thread dedicated to Altered Inspiration (Erin's project class) and others who have taken her class can add to it.

Please note that ANYONE can read threads on our public forums, but only members can post (another great reason to create an account if you haven't done so already!)

Erin's class uses the You + Me quote book, published by Compendium as the foundation for a personalized book. In her classroom, Erin gives instructions for altering a book like this to make it an extra-special gift for someone you love.

Inspire_quote 7
Inspire_how to cover stamp
Inspire quote 15
She uses punches and stamps and stitching (and more) to alter and enhance a beautiful design to create a classic and meaningful gift.

I invite you to come check out the NEW BPS!

  1. It took the Quote of the Day a few days to recover from the change, but it’s all better now.

Forum ~ This is my FAVORITE part! I’ve wanted a public forum. Especially to talk about upcoming classes. I’ve requested this on my class surveys. Thanks for listening BPS!

  3. Thanks for posting this letter. I have yet to venture into BPS for a class but I may give one a whirl this fall, thanks to the encouragement from Jan in AZ.

  4. I am loving the new BPS! It’s beautiful! And I’m taking my first ever class there and wow it sure won’t be may last!
