Today is Kayce’s BIRTHDAY.
I cannot even say how I have grown to love this girl over the past several months. She now lives only 5 minutes from my house and we are working so very hard to make Big Picture Scrapbooking better and better. She is smart and caring and so totally dedicated! She deserves the very best kind of day.
Look what I had Claudine Hellmuth create for her? Super CUTE.
Today started out a bit CRAZY.
Sometimes Thursdays at BPS are like that, with new content refreshing in several classrooms, etc.. we often need to address a variety of needs for both students and teachers. We are dealing with some unanticipated bandwidth challenges which require research and added expense, so we’ve been investigating the options and are working feverishly to make decisions that will provide the most universally satisfying solution now and in the future. However, when you run an online business, your services are expected to flow 24/7 — this can be challenging. That’s all I’m going to say here, except that we so appreciate the BPS community that has supported us and allowed us to learn and grow and improve over the years. The BEST is yet to come and that is an exciting thought.
I also found out that someone has used my Twitter account to send SPAM. Believe it or not, I happen to have fond memories of SPAM (the processed meat product) from my earliest years camping by the ocean with my family — as you know, SPAM now has a whole new and entirely negative connotation and I’m experiencing that today. Hopefully have that under control.
I got a phone call from my cousin Brad, whom I have not seen in at least 4 or 5 years. He is in Spokane and now coming to dinner. I couldn’t be MORE thrilled, but dinner will now need to be prioritized differently on my “things” to do. In other words, it has to be good!
Today I’m going on a long run.
We are having one an absolutely beautiful fall day and there won’t be many left like this, so I’m headed out on a long run. I’ve been ready to go for a couple of hours, but in spite of some unexpected busyness I am NOT letting go of this. Both my body and my mind will thank me.
Today, you need to watch this.
My friend Dorothy sent me this yesterday and I believe it was a bit of a tender mercy. You can learn more at thefuntheory.com
I love what it says on their homepage: This site is dedicated to the thought that something as simple as fun is the easiest way to change people’s behaviour for the better. Be it for yourself, for the environment, or something entirely different, the only thing that matters is that it’s change for the better.
please approach something you do today with an attitude of FUN. It really does make a difference.
