My CHA workshop + October Afternoon goodies!

I am teaching Finish Line Scrapbooking at the new CHA Super Show in Anaheim, CA January 22-23rd. Kayce, Dawn (the new marketing director at BPS) and several other friends will be helping me and attending the trade show as well!

I’m super excited as I’ll be in a classroom set up for 200 people — imagine! I’m also pretty excited because this SuperShow isn’t just for scrapbookers, but all crafters and Finish Line is a perfect class for someone who has yet to take the scrapbooking plunge; anyone that has never worked in a 6×6 format; anyone that needs to overcome common barriers to creative scrapbooking; anyone that would love to learn a wonderful creative process for getting a bunch of pictures into an adorable album FAST … hey, this class is for anyone!

American Crafts is on board as a sponsor with 6×6 Modern Albums and I’ve selected 5 two-sided pattern papers from October Afternoon.

FL_CHA1

When you come (I’m looking forward to meeting lots of blog readers) you will need to bring 25 to 45 4×6 photographs and 50 black embellishments (buttons, brads, frames, tickets, photo turns, etc…) and be ready for two-hours for energizing fun that results in a finished 6×6 scrapbook.

I’ll be posting more information about gathering embellishments and sharing some of my favorites.

I have taught Finish Line for 3 years in lots of different places (London, Sydney, Wellington, Japan — and at several CK conventions.) I never grow tired of teaching this class, because it is such a treat to see all those photos come in and so many different and wonderful albums go out.I get to work with different papers and see the unique results of students bringing their own embellishments and design flair to the experience.

I love this class and this process so much that I am developing a Finish Line class for Big Picture Scrapbooking. More info on that coming soon!

Learn more about the CHA SuperShow HERE.

See my class description and register HERE.

If you live anywhere near Anaheim, California you will most definitely want to come to this SuperShow and *wink* take my class.

I have one other very cool surprise up my sleeve. I’m working with my friend Molly to do something I’ve always wanted to do. We will debut at CHA and I cannot wait to tell (and show) you more!

In the meantime, October Afternoon was MORE than generous with me when they sent me my CHA Finish Line papers. I have THREE hefty packages of Happy Mail (full of beautiful NEW OA product) ready to send out. Leave me a comment and tell me “yes” or “no,” have you ever created a 6×6 album? I’ll close comments on Friday at noon and post the results by 3:00pm.

  57. I made 2 6×6 albums about 2 years ago – filled them up with photos of our family, our dogs, our home, etc. and sent them to the orphanage my children were adopted from. My son and daughter came home with those albums and they were well-worn. They are still one of their favorite things. I was overwhelmed with the thought of making albums for them, and this size was perfect. Holds a 4×6 photo and a wee bit of embellishing. Not too much, but just right. Thanks for the fun giveaway – your blog is oh, so fun!

  69. No, I have not. But I think they would be a ton of fun!

  70. Grandma LaLa says:

Now that my kids are grown and their 8.5 x 11 albums are mostly “done,” I adore using 6×6 format for little theme albums. The best part is not having as much space to fill but still being able to create mini collages on each page. A recent favorite “small format” is called “28 proofs that I was a mom.” Been scrappin’ since the early 80′s…a “dinosaur” scrapper to be sure!…and I still love it!!!

  71. Verona Highsmith says:

I tried to post, don’t think it went through. I’ve not really done an album like you are talking about, just scraped 6X6 pages on the names of God to put into a protector and into a ringed album. Wish I was close to CA to take your class.

  85. No, never worked in the 6×6 size. I’m the kinda girl who wants big space for my pictures. Hmmm…maybe if I had smaller pictures then I could use the 6×6 space better? Stacy, you are alwyas making me think!

  86. yes, it’s a friendly size (not intimidating)

  109. Yes! I love 6X6! It makes it so easy to complete an album when you don’t have all that white space to fill up! I am one of those people that has to fill a up every space on the page! LOL!

  110. No. 6X6 is not a size I’ve done-yet!

  111. YES! I have taken your Finish Line scrapbooking class and it was fabulous! I totally had to put aside my “style” issues and just go with it, and trust that you knew what you are talking about. What I ended up with was the coolest 6×6 Disneyland album that was finished just a few weeks after our trip with our 3 little ones. That doesn’t happen very often (I mean the completed scrapbooking!) :)

  112. Kathie Simmons says:

    No, but I’d love to.

  113. So far I’ve created 3 6×6 albums, but have never gotten the chance to take the class. 2 of the 6×6 albums were ABC albums for my kids, and the other was just recently when I created my December Daily album, which I got the idea from Ali Edward’s blog. It is coming along nicely, and I love how quick and easy it is to complete. I just purchased a small Christmas decorated material album this afternoon at the 2nd hand store (the album was new) and as I only spent 99 cents on it, will be saving it for next years December Daily album. I would sincerely love to take this class. I hope I never stop learning more about scrapbooking. Amy :)

  114. Those were the size of the very first albums I created with my kids about 9 years ago. They still love to look back at them. Can you teach the Finish Line class through BPS??? I love October Afternoon’s products!

  115. I have done a 6×6! It was such a fun size to make birthday memory book for my mom’s 80th birthday!

  129. lynne moore says:

Yes, a few 6×6 have found their way into my ever eveolving obsession. My fav was an album I made for my cusin’s wedding; Black, white and red with lots of white flowers. A Finish Line class for BPS would be just great. I can’t wait.

  144. Carmen McShane says:

no, i haven’t done a 6×6 album but would love to give it a try

Yes! In fact, I took finish line scrapbooking with you in Chantilly, VA. I thought it was great how you told all of us ladies to put our own methods away for two hours, and just try your way. I’m a little too addicted to planning, and my ruler to make truly spontaneous finish line scrapbooks, but I had a lot of fun in your class. Thanks!

  148. Yes I have made a couple of 6×6 albums. Love the size, perfect to do as gift for loved ones.

  149. I havent done a 6 X 6 album yet, but I would like to start. My 7 year old nephew has given me copies of all his monthly baby shots during his first year and beyond, and his school pictures over the years, and I think this would be perfect. It would also be great practice! My husband and I just found out we are pregnant! Imagine that! Naturally, at age 45! God is so very awesome, Stacy!
    Love,
    Rosa.

  150. Yes…I love the 6″ x6″ size, so doable! I “survived” your finish line class in Sydney a few years ago LOL I say survived because it was crazy fast and I had to let go of all that perfectionism (word?) and just go for it. And you know what, it’s a totally cute album :)

  151. Yes – I love 6×6. I have taught a 6×6 class and people love them! There are endless possibilities with them. They also make great gifts.

I have one for Halloween that has a pic of the kids in their costume each year. I have a Christmas one that has our family pic each year. And I have a vacation one that has a pic from each of our vacations. Such a great size for a quick mini book. I LOVE OCTOBER AFTERNOON!!!!!!

  171. Yes. I’m always surprised how good things look at such a small size.

Stacy – I followed your instructions in Simple Scrapbooks for a Finish Line Scrapbook and it worked! I was amazed at how much I got done in such a short time and energized by having a completed project. It helped that I was working with a bunch of photos I wasn’t too attached to anymore — three year old photos from my daughter’s preschool years. But now I have this wonderful keepsake instead of a pile of photos waiting in a box.

  172. No, I never have because I thought it would be too small.

  173. Melanie Briscoe says:

Yes! In fact, I am making 6×6 mini albums for all 15 of my daughter’s friends at school. She will be changing schools in January & 6×6 is the perfect size for small memory gifts! In a 6×6 book, I can get a slightly trimmed 4×6 photo with a title & short journaling entry on one page & 3-4 wallet mini prints with an embellishment on the other page. I repeat this scheme for about 5 school events & put a title page in the front & a goodbye letter on the back & it is done! YEA 6×6!!

  174. Teresa Boyer says:

Yes, I have made one 6×6 mini album and I love it!

  175. Yes. My gift albums for family at Christmas two years in a row were 6×6. They are compact but full of possibilities. This year’s album is a photo album scrapbook in those cute green with blue elastic albums from Target!

  176. Yep – it’s one of my favorite sizes for minibooks and event theme scrapping.

  177. Sounds like you’ve got some big plans for January! Wish I lived closer so I could stop by and see you!

I created 6 x 6 albums for my MIL a few years ago. Like how easy it was to complete.

  178. Joanie Baloney says:

  184. No, I haven’t but I have an baby book idea in mind.

  185. Yes- My daughter’s “A You’re Adorable” Album…using pics of her first year to that old 40′s song. Love it!

Nope, never made one, but as a present to our parents this year, my brother and I and our spouses are hiring a photographer to shoot their home, and us in the house – this is their last Christmas in the house we were raised in, the house they have lived in since 1974! I am already thinking of ideas for books once we get photos, and a 6 by 6 might be a lovely size for a “house” book.

  190. Yes! It is a great size for gifts. In fact, most of the ones I have made, I have given away! :)

  191. YES!!!
I love them, as I can usually finish one in a few hours.

  192. Joan Marie says:

Yes. I have been making smaller albums for my parents. My mom has arthritis in her hands and shoulders and wasn’t able to lift the heavier 12 x 12 albums I was making. The smaller size is perfect for her.

  193. Yes ;o) I LOVE 6×6 albums. I love that they use the paper wisely, I love that they are small but pack good punch. I wish Shutterfly would do a 6×6 album!!! SOmetimes that 8×8 is too big and the 5×7 to awkwardly small.

  194. Never! I want to I want to, but I just have trouble committing to the selection of pictures! I would one day love to take a Stacy class too – maybe next time you are in Canada?

  196. Nope-not yet-but hope to soon!

  197. Not yet but would love to try one – with pics of new grand daughter

  198. Yes but it’s been a long time. Need to get back in and have some fun with mini albums. So you taught this in Japan too? I’m sure the students enjoyed it!

  199. Yes. I’ve made a few. The last one was of all my nieces and nephews. You know those wallet size photos they give you? I used those from last year. I have 8 nieces and nephews so I grouped the wallets pics by family and then in between and here and there I added snapshots of my kids with their cousins. I used an American Crafts small 6 x 6 album and it was perfect (and cheap too).

  200. tracy boxeth says:

Yes I have made 6 x 6 albums, but always as gifts. I think I’d keep yours for me. And I live very close to Anaheim. I’m gonna check out your class, how exciting.

  204. Stacy- Yes, I think I have done albums in every size! :) I love mini-albums and 6×6 and 8×8! :)

  205. No I have never made a 6×6 album, but I am only on my second album ever :) They’ve both been 12 x 12

  210. Katie scott says:

I wish I could go to your class – sounds like so much FUN! & yes I’ve created a 6×6 album or 2 or more like 20. In fact I just recently taught my kids’ kindergarten & 2nd grade classes to make an 8 page 6×6 Thanksgiving album in 40 minutes & miraculously enough, they all finished them :) how’s that for finish line Scrapbooking – brilliant concept – big kudos / brownie points to you Stacy :)

  211. No not done a 6×6, probably done most of the other sizes though!

  212. No 6X6 but I’ve done 6X8. Wish I lived close enough to take this class with you.

  213. I’ve done many small albums. I’m trying to remember if any were exactly 6×6! It’s something I should go back through my files to check! I LOVE the papers you chose, and can’t wait to learn more!

    Smiles,
    Dianne

  216. I have 3 6×6 recipe albums but I cheated a little – all the pages are from recipe swaps so technically only three of the pages are mine! Love that size album! Maybe if I ask Santa really nice he’ll give me a trip to CA to take your class…

  217. No on the 6×6. I’ve only done 8×8 or larger. Can’t wait for your class at BPS!

No, help me! I really want to, but not sure what album to use and how to make it still fill “scrapbooked”.

  222. yes I have. The past few years I have made yearly summary albums for the 4 great-grandmothers in my family for christmas gifts. They really enjoy receiving pictures of my family from thru out the year.

  223. Yes… But I find them too small. I prefer 8×8. Love October Afternoon! Thanks for the giveaway!

  228. Hi Stacy! I’m excited about your class, I plan on being there with you and Molly!

  229. Just last week I bought four 6×6 albums! I was so excited to find them at Michaels in the dollar section: American Crafts; packaged 2 for $3. They have 10 pages and I knew I had found the perfect little album for a SMILES mini book. Good thing I have three in reserve for the next project – Finish Line – and can’t wait to hear more about it!

  238. Yes I have made 6×6 albums. I love that size!

  239. Yes. :) I believe that all sizes of scrapbooking should be loved and cherished ;)

  240. I have used the 6 x 6 size American Craft album, as a “photo diary” of sorts. It’s the place where I put those single photos and the stories of that photo. I love it! A quick an easy page done in just a few minutes! Helps me use up those scraps, too.

  241. Yes, for gifts. It is a fun size.

  242. Stacy,

It’s proudly on the coffee table and it was for a trip to Michigan for my husband’s grandmother’s 100th birthday and I had taken tons of photos and had done nothing with them! Now I am so happy that I have such a beautiful FINISHED album of such a wonderful event!

  250. Yes, I just finished another one last week!

  251. Michelle M says:

  252. Hi Stacy,
    Well, it’s with good intentions that I bought a 6×6 scrapbook, but I haven’t actually done anything with it yet. I’ve made 4×4, 8×8, 8.5 x 11, and 12×12…I’m thinkin’ it’s time to give it a try!

What a great approached to doing quick, themed albums!

  314. I have a 6×6 album but am looking for inspiration….I hope it comes soon since it is adorable. For years I only did 12x12s but lately I have done 8x8s and several chipboard books of various sizes. I am enjoying working with small books and completing them in just one or two crops. I hope you post some pictures..since I live in FL, it would be quite a hike for the class. It sounds fun! Merry Christmas.

  315. Yes! 4 pages from 1 sheet of card stock. How budget-friendly is that!

  316. Ok, I just re-organized my supplies and I have 5 (five!) empty 6×6 albums to fill!!! They were bought at different times and with good intentions, but….
Anyhow, I have done one 6×6 album and it ROCKED! I used a few different digital templates, rotated them for variation, and printed at Costco on 12×12 paper. I did the whole thing start to finished printed product in my hands in LESS THAN a day! Love that!

The ability to do it quickly and ”cutely ‘ was so helpful! Thank you for shareing your talent with us!

  330. Stephanie says:

Yes! I LOVE 6 x 6 albums – they might be my favorite size. One of the reasons? I also LOVE 6 x 6 photos! The last 6 x 6 album I did was ‘Learn Something New Everyday’ in September. My Christmas memory album is also 6 x 6. It’s just a fun size. AND, October Afternoon is my favorite product line these days!

  331. yes- many 6×6 including your Finish line in Buffalo NY!!!

  332. I have tried to create a 6×6 album but, honestly, I’m not a fan of the size. It’s almost like a teaser size. Bigger than 4×6 so you think you can add more than a photo to the page, but not big enough to add much more than a photo. Even though the size seems very practical to me (after all, you can get FOUR pages per sheet of 12×12 paper), I’ve decided to stick with either 4×6 or 8×8. Just my $0.02! :)

  333. No. I’ve never done a 6×6 album. Would love to give it a try.

  334. rebecca keppel says:

I dont think I’ve done 6×6 yet. I know I’ve done a few 8×8 and I saw a few mini 6×6′s and just havent gotten around to it yet–would love to try :)

  339. Yes – so fast and easy. Not as much pressure as a 12×12 page.

  340. No – Ive never worked with 6×6 mostly thinking it is too small for my pics, and embellishments I guess. I usually like to have more than one photo on a page but would consider this if I had a format to follow!

  341. Yes – the first scrapbook I ever made was a 6×6. I prefer 8.5×8.5 these days if I want to go smaller than 12×12.

  342. YES – I’ve created several 6×6 albums. My favorite is the one that houses all of our family Christmas card photos over the years.

  348. No, I’ve never made a 6 X 6…but have made an 8 X 8….

  349. I have a stack of 6×6 papers that I bought recently, but I used it for an advent calendar (you bonus idea on this blog some Saturdays ago..) – and I guess that doesn’t count for an album. I hope to do it someday, though. :)

  350. Nope… I have never completed a 6 x 6 album. It’s one of those things I’ve always wanted to do, but just haven’t found the time!

  351. Yes. but only 1 time. No idea why I’ve never done it again!

  352. Yes! I have done a 6×6 album, but only once or twice. So much fun and really quick. Thanks for the great give-a-ways, and Merry Christmas!

  353. Franci - Wyckoff, NJ says:

No I have never created a 6X6 album. I’ll have to put that on the list

  354. Monika Wright says:

I have don LOTS of 6×6 albums. Mostly, I purchase the seasonal American Crafts 6×6 at Hobby Lobby when I have a coupon, or they blow them out after the holiday. Then, I use them to scrap an album for my in-laws and my Mom. I have done this the past several Christmases and they are a hit. Rather than filing away the Christmas photos I would print out for them, they have the album out and can look at it all year and see how the kids have grown, what was the current “in” thing and just all the priceless expressions the holidays can bring. Can you tell I like 6×6 mini’s?

  355. Yes – several. They are a great way to introduce kids to scrapbooking..a great birthday party activity too.

  356. Yes – I’ve done 6×6, 8×8, and 4×4. Lots of fun to do a small, quick project that can actually be completed and enjoyed.

  357. Yes! Love 6X6!

  358. Yes! When I walked in the Breast Cancer 3 Day in San Diego, I made a pink 6 x 6 album with all my great memorable photos!

  359. YES! I have created a 6×6 album. They are so fun because they feel so productive. And when you have OA as some extra inspiration you can’t go wrong.

  360. I made a 6×6 album as a gift for my mother a few years ago and currently my December Daily project is in a 6×6 American crafts modern album. I love October Afternoon products! My current favorite is their Farm Fresh collection which I’m using to pre-design a scrapbook and some nursery decorations for our first baby that is due in February. What an awesome giveaway! Thanks for the chance to win.

  361. I’ve started a 6×6 album…it’s just not completed yet:) I like creating in all shapes and sizes.

  362. Yes, i’ve made several. At least two are on-going, i keep adding to them. i really like them, and so does my 4 year old!

  363. Erin Vandervelde says:

No, Stacy, I have never completed a 6×6 album. Your class sounds fabulous. I wish California was closer to Illinois. Thank you for the chance to win.

  364. yes I have. and what a great giveaway

  365. Yes, I have created numerous gift albums in 6×6 and some recipe albums for swaps with friends. One was even A-Z with a recipe for every letter! I love the ability to get in there and get it done so quickly. Also gave one to a teeball coach with pictures of all the players! Turned out so great I made one for our house!

  366. I haven’t. But I am always up for something new!

  367. No, the closest I’ve gotten is 8 X 8 or 6 X 12. I guess I’m too long-winded and my journaling takes up too much room. I think 6 X 6 would be a real challenge for me!

  368. Yes, I have created 6×6 albums. They are actually one of my favorite things to create as gifts. I’m excited to hear what you have up your sleeve with your friend Molly and wish I was going to CA for CHA. Your class sounds great and I hope you have a wonderful time.

  369. I have created a couple- last year my December Daily album was a 6×6, and I have had the privilege of taking your Finish Line class (outside DC), so that album is DONE, of course.

  370. Yes, I have. I love 6 x 6 albums – they make great gifts – I’m finishing one up at the moment – a little wedding album for my friend for her first wedding anniversay. Great giveaway Stacy!

  371. Gina Jackson says:

Yes, I’ve created a couple 6X6 albums. They are fun and quick to make.

  372. Yes, they are my favorite because they are so easy (two cuts per sheet) to get your foundation ready for the fun stuff!

  373. Junt on 6×6 album. It was the daily gratitude album I did for 2008.

  374. Yup!

  375. No. I’ve done a 5×7 and loved it but I tend to stick to the big pages.

  376. Hi Stacy, YES I have worked in many 6×6 formats and I love it! I would also love to see you! Maybe CHA will be the place! thanks for all your sharing! sprinkley hugs, bren

  377. Melanie Cooper says:

NO, i surely haven’t made a 6×6 book. My biggest hurdle is picking pictures. And its so sweet for you to share your goodies.

  378. Christine C says:

NO – I have one here ready to go, but I have trouble deciding what to put in it – I think we need to go on a little trip so I can make a mini album about it.

  379. Yes, I think that I created one about 4 years ago. The reason that I say “think” is that it was a Creative Memories album and kit that a friend purchase and assembled and gave me as a baby shower gift. All I had to do was add pictures, journaling and a few extra embellishments. Is that considered creating? :-) I think I would have more success completing an album if I tried a smaller size than 12×12.

  380. Michelle P. says:

october afternoon has some of the coolest products. i would love to win.

  381. Oh I love October Afternoon! I have done a 6×6 album.

  382. No, I’ve never created a 6×6. 7×7, yes, but that was when I copied a whole album for a friend.

  383. Yes!

  384. Yes, I’ve made lots of 6×6 albums! In fact, I make year in review albums every year for the grandparents as Christmas gifts, since they live so far away. I use 6×6 albums for this because I am making four albums (my mom, my MIL, my FIL and one for me too!) and 6×6 is the most economical size when doing this many albums…I find the size frustrating after awhile, but it’s great to be able to cut down a sheet of 12×12 cardstock and get 4 pages for my albums with no waste.

  385. Kim Huschke says:

YES! Love that size! Especially for gifts!

  386. Yes, lots of them for gifts and for myself! My favorite so far is the one I did for my Grandmother’s 100th birthday. It was so wonderful to talk to her about her life, get a timeline and photos to chronicle her 100 years.

  387. Yes! I love 6 X 6 because it’s so quick. I did a 6 X 6 for a trip to SF and one for our trip on the Disney Cruise. Fun!

  388. Yes. I do one that size every year for my Christmas album. I love that it is a fun size, yet I can get the album done quickly.

  389. Yes! I have!

  390. Yes I have!!!

  391. No, I’ve never completed a 6 x 6 album — did an 8 x 8 as a gift once. Good luck with the class — sounds great. I’m nowhere near CA!

  392. Christine Mc says:

Yes, I have! It’s a great size to work with – VERY fast! THanks for sharing – good luck with your class.

  393. Yes! I took your class at CKC Seattle last year and loved it. My daughter just loves the album I made in that class…it was just moments between her and I. Oh by the way…I love it too. and loved your class. I loved the music you played in it..very fast and peppy…but I can’t remember what the songs were. What were they? they were great is all I can remember and boy they had us scrapping up a storm. Love the new paper line you’ve decided to use…..my have to do another :) And may have to check out your BPS class for a refresher :)

  394. Yes. 6X6 digital album and a CKU album now that I think about it.

  395. Jennifer Land says:

Yes, I’ve made several. Sometimes small is the way to go!

  396. Yes! I think I’ve done about four of them and I’m working on an AC 6×6 Modern album for my daily holiday album right now. I love the small size that enables me to quickly get the memory on a page.

  397. Kris Van Allen says:

    YES YES YES!!!!

I love to make 6×6 albums!! any mini size, but Stacy you turned me on to the idea of ordering photos for a mini all in 4×4 size, with white borders, so when the photos arrived they were the right size and already matted!

  398. No, lots of other quick and easy PAS, but never 6×6. hmmmmm

  399. I have created about a dozen 6×6 mini books. This is easily my favorite format.

  400. shellbell78 says:

Thanks for the chance to win!
    ~J

  403. yes…and I love October Afternoon, and I love you, Stacy, and … well, I have to get back now to my final exams and projects. Thanks for the break! vb

  406. No, I have not made a 6×6 album but I would love to have some help giving it a try!
    Love your new website Stacy!

  407. yes – love little albums! AND I love the finish line class – I was so blessed to be able to meet you and take this calss in DC a couple of years ago – and I’ve used the technique to complete several albums in lots of differnt sizes. Merry Christmas!! ~ J

  408. debby warthen says:

I have made dozens! I love the small format. It makes me get right to the point! I also like to have these around my house where people can feel free to pick them up and pore over them much more quickly than with a traditional 12X12 scrapbook.

  409. Hi. I made quite a few of these but my favorite is my San Fran album that I scraplifted from you!!

Merry Christmas to you and your family.

    Regina

  410. This sounds like so much fun!

  411. Hi Stacy,

Yes, I have made 6×6 albums. They are terrific for summer vacations, a trip or a surprise gift.

Have fun in CA, my home state! Now living in NY.

  412. I have not created a 6×6 album but I have worked with 8×8 albums.

  413. Marti Richards says:

I have made a 6X6 mini book before and I love it! I am trying to do a lot more and start a basket to display on a table in our living room. My 4 year old son loves looking through the mini ones! Thank you for a chance to win some OA love!

  414. Kathy Meredith says:

I have made several 6 x 6 albums. I also took Stacy’s Finish Line Scrapbooking class in Spokane and absolutely loved it!!! I’m thinking of maybe signing up for Anaheim – California in the end of January sounds like a great idea when it was 7 degrees this morning!

    Kathy

  416. I made a 6 X 6 pre-school album for my oldest son! Love it!
    Amy in CA

  417. I made a 6×6 album in one of your classes at CK Seattle…you had just added your daughter to the family, and you were GLOWING. Every time I see my album, I have 3 sets of memories. 1)The album itself 2)Making the album at CK with friends and 3) you & your Mom’s excitement and you carrying your jewel around in a front pack.

  418. I have done a 6×6, but not on myself…..good idea. Hoping I can gather that paper and be an early bird for the BPS class. Love that paper…..

  419. Yes, I just created my first one; a digital 6×6 book of our golden retriever, Bear, as a Christmas present for my hubbie. It was easy and so much fun!

  420. Whitney P. says:

Yes, I have one in progress and nearly completed. They are photos of my daughter (now 2) with her stuffed puppy every month. I was really dedicated for the 1st year, now I don’t remember to take the photos as often!
6X6 is great, and I would love to take the class at BPS!

  421. Yes, sort of, I am creating two right now. I am doing a Dec. Daily album (Ali’s) and a receipe album (Cathy Z). Both are in process. I love those papers. They would work great with my projects. Thanks for the chance.

  422. Wow, I have made a few pages for 6×6 with no pictures. I’ve always wanted to try and do an album that size. There just seems to be something interesting or maybe it would be a good way to get the personal satisfaction knowing that I had created something from start to finish in a short time. I hope the time comes that I will be able to take one of your classes.

  423. Can’t wait to see what you have new! I love OA. Thank you so much for the chance to win.

  424. Jennifer C. says:

yes, I have. My favorite was a tribute to my hometown with a picture of something we love for every letter of the alphabet!

  425. Yes, I’m using that size for our Halloween memories! It’s so cute. :) FUN giveaway!!

  427. not yet, but I just bought a couple 6X6 AC albums at Michael’s. They’re so cute :) Once Christmas is over and my scrappy gifts are completed, then I’ll dig in and get started.

  428. bea medwecky says:

I made a cute 6×6 album for my son, who was working in Montana. All the girls on his team oohed and aahed.

  429. Marlene Chamberlin says:

I love that size , have made gifts for my daughter’s friends b-days.. .it’s great!!!

  430. yes – a handful but in particular I recall an album for my grandma using beautiful flower/plant photos from her yard over several years that my mom had collected matched with some poems that were written by my grandma’s late sister (mainly a collection from the 1930′s) that were printed in her sister’s memoir booklet when she passed away in the early 2000′s. Really really cool to do. And to hear about my grandma’s reaction (since we live thousands of miles apart). Heidi

  431. I’m working on my first 6X6 to document our December preparations for Christmas. Such a fun project! This size seems to make everything quick and easy!

  432. Crystal L. says:

Yes I have made a 6×6 album, fun size to work with! Would love to play with October Afternoon paper, what a fun giveaway!

    Crystal

  433. Yes, I have done a couple of baby albums in this size…. it is challenging to move to the small size after working in 12 X 12 for so long..

  434. I’ve never done a 6×6 album, nor any 6×6 pages to include in my bigger albums. I would be interested in taking this class from BPS!

  435. Nope, never done one!

  436. Yes! Just made two 6×6 albums for a sister in law and friend who were having babies. The albums were a ‘picture a month’ style and I love that smaller space to work with. Here’s a link to my blog where I posted a few pictures if you care to look: http://klbastow.blogspot.com/2009/09/finally.html

Love those 6×6 and 8×8 sizes!

  437. connibrett@airadv.net says:

  444. Not sure that you’ll actually catch a comment out of over 400 and it’s not a contest entry AND a couple of days old by now but this post begs the question – when ya bringing Finish Line to BPS? Inquiring minds are eager to know! You’ve hinted at it….. Thanks!

  445. Would love to win so here is my comment
