room with a view

My new little office space has electricity and insulation and has passed all the necessary inspections. This week, I get French doors!
Most importantly for me is the windows — I now have my view again and even more of it!  I love that I will work in so much  natural light and be able to see my kids playing outside in the little community park behind our house.

I take LOTS of pictures at this park!

In fact, I think I might start setting aside pictures of my kids on these swings (in my Things We Do drawer, behind the PLAY tab) as I’m certain great things will happen!

There isn’t anything much cuter, than a child on a swing …

… even when they are not swinging.

I’ve got a crazy, busy day packing and preparing for our little 4-day jaunt to Crescent Bar on the Colombia river.
I’m very much looking forward to quiet time with my family.

Thank YOU for sharing your thoughts and observations on Easter.
I LOVE the community we share through blogging … here’s to a productive Monday!

Allison will post two winners for the Lisa Leonard giveaway this afternoon. Comments close at noon.

Ok, I’m am so jealous! You had a great view already, now with ALL those windows…I’m speechless. Enjoy! To me happiness is a glass house with a view, especially of the sunsets. I have a scap space in the basement, the part with no windows :(
Have a great Easter break with the family.

  3. you’re view is awesome!!! you’re also so lucky to have the park so close (even though swinging give me motion sickness) Have a wonderful Easter break!

  4. Your office is looking wonderful!!! Is it going to be open to the kitchen? Or just french doors where your slider was? Will you have a little sitting deck just to sit outside for fresh air?

    Have fun at Crescent Bar.

Lovin’ the pics of the boys reading on the swings!

  8. have fun at cresent bar! we have a place there and spend as much time is we can there in the summer. once we get to quincy, all the stress of everyday life fades away. enjoy the peacefulness of the river and time with your family!!!

  9. Stacy,

Loove the room. I was lucky enough to get a copy of Photo Freedom. My question is when you place pictures into the photo albums and you write in the spce what they are of, when you get around to scrapbooking those pictures what do you do with what you have written. Is it eraseable or do you use post-its? I would love to know. Next year I will take Library of Memories. Thank you.

    • Becky,
I use sticky notes — so that I can keep the photo albums clean and reusable. I rotate through the same photo albums over and over. This is actually a critical part of keeping the flow of photos moving through your system.

I’d love to see you next year in class!

  10. Your space looks so beautiful. I have always loved watching new special spaces grow. I look forward to the next update…Have a great trip!
