Did better yesterday.

Had my camera with me most of the time and used it with a bit more intention.
Captured some CUTE cousins.

Cougar and Hillary’s girls are a year older and younger than Addie. Our boys are just days apart.

The sun was so bright. I was having a hard time getting the shot I wanted, and then I looked down. This one just might be my most favorite of all!

After dropping off the boys for a slumber party,  Addie and I headed to lunch with my dear friends and I LOVED getting caught up with them. I of course did most of the talking, but it was really nice being listened to too.

How I miss working more closely with these girls.

More adventures planned for today …

  1. Sounds like everyone is having a good time. And Utah is so beautiful so I’m sure there’s no shortage of God-given eye candy either. Enjoy every last minute. We’re off to visit our relatives as well for the 4th (we moved 6 hours away from our families and our hometown 4½ years ago when my dh’s job was eliminated locally and he had to take a transfer to the next state.) Our kids are crazy silly with excitement over the upcoming trip. And I get to visit my very favorite in the whole wide world paper store, where solid cardstock is sold at $1.25 per pound. YAY!!!!!!! :D
    Blessings,
    Toni

    • Toni,
What is the name of the paper store — do tell!

      • It’s called Hollos and it’s in Brunswick, OH (very near Cleveland). They have limited color choices in 12×12 (more in 8½x11) and some is not acid-free (though it’s marked). But I stock up TONS on classic black and white, and some of my favorites like sage green. Plus, they have tons of other papers and tablets that I use for homeschool. If they ever close, I *will* cry. ;)

        • There are some photos of the cardstock available if you click on the “paper” link on the website. And it’s ONLY the solids they sell by the pound.

  2. oh I love that shot of the boys’ shadows! Amazing example of how a shift in perspective can be…

  3. Beautiful pictures! Isn’t spending time with family just the best? I can’t wait until we head to Idaho and get some family/Grandpa/cousin time. Those are the summer memories I still remember from my childhood and most excited to pass along to my children. Enjoy your time.

  4. GREAT photos Stacy! How lucky for your kids to have cousins so close in age. And lunch was a blast yesterday!!!

  5. Oh, I love the shadow picture too!

  6. Love that there is a soccer ball in the corner of the shadow picture! Glad you are having a good time.

  7. great shadow shot…the sun was too bright for a reason!

All the kids look so sweet. I’m sure Addie is having a blast playing with the girls.

  10. Wonderful photos Stacy – very cute cousins indeed!

  11. Love your creative photos! Enjoy the rest of your vacation.

  12. I love the picture of the four boys’ shadows on the ground! Shadows and reflections are two of my favorite creative techniques – usually for self-portraits, but still fun when taking pictures of others, as well.

Sounds (and looks) like you are finding lots of joy and fun on your trip… =)

  13. totally love the pic of the childrens’ shadows!
