The Vintage Barn

We’ve spent the weekend with visiting family, and it’s so dang fun.
I’m writing a full weekend report (coming soon) but for this morning …
scenes from The Vintage Barn antique show.

The boys said they would watch the kids, so Hillary and I dressed up and headed out to Rathdrum …

and shopped for several hours at an outdoor collective of vendors, displaying their antique and re-purposed wares.

It was an absolutely perfect summer day with a gentle breeze.

This is the love seat I *almost* purchased for my new office (longer and quite humorous story to follow.)

So many wonderful pink things made me want to love pink at much as Margie does and …

and this collection of milk bottle caps totally reminds me Jenni.

There was inspiration at every turn. Totally made me want to don cowboy boots and a short skirt (at least momentarily.) I did add two aprons to my now official collection–in fact, Hillary and I both bought aprons and we are going to personalize them today with ‘extras’ in my stash.

So, I’d better go make breakfast.
I’ll be back later to announce the winner of the Scrapbook Circle July kit.
Happy Monday!

  1. How do you find out about these shows? I’ve missed 2 that you’ve posted about, and I’d really like to know when there is a show like this coming up…

  2. Heather P. says:

That show looks wonderful!!! Now I NEED to head out to our local county antique fair! :)

  3. I follow your blog here and there AND I had a booth at the sale. It would have been great to meet you. So glad you had a wonderful day. It really is a perfect environment.
p.s. I ‘drooled’ over that yellow love seat too!

  4. I would have loved to have been there. Looks like fun!

  5. I may be just the teensiest bit jealous since I didn’t get to go this year. I love browsing in the sunshine.

Cathy, you can check my blog (at the end of the linked post) for info about upcoming shows in the Spokane area. :)

  6. Oh my goodness, soooo much eye candy. But, um, Stacy? Why oh WHY did you not buy that loveseat? You did see the iron scroll work and the yummy yellow color. How did you manage to not get it? My dollars would have been toast, lol.

  7. I am in love with that pink bike. I am going to find an old bike and paint it pink . . . there is so much inspiration in these pictures!

  8. My heart literally started beating 10 times faster when I saw the pink bike and the pink dresser……Absolutely amazing!!!

  9. oh i think im in love! with that whole show – hmm do you think they would tour to Australia

  10. Wow – I think I could get lost in a place like that! Fun!

  11. From the depths of a New Zealand winter (very frosty and cold this morning!) it was a breath of summer to see your post and lovely photos. What an amazing display of goodies – you were very restrained to stick to two aprons!

  12. Be still my heart! I want a Junebug pillow like that! The downside to living in a tropical island is not having antique shows to go to. Someday… But for now I live vicariously through you.

  13. Thank you so much for including us in your gorgeous photos. I really want to redo the weekend…I’m sad that we didn’t get to meet you. We did sell the yellow love seat and chair(sorry about the plastic cover, just trying to keep the white dust free) to a very excited, happy shopper and we delivered it to her on Sunday, it looked beautiful on her front porch. So glad you had a wonderful time. xoxoGlad & Celia/Junebug Design
