things that make me happy right now.

Farmer Geoff with a handful of beautiful blueberries.
Blueberries make me happy.

Addie taking an after dinner nap.
This little girl and her ability play to the very point of exhaustion
makes me happy.

My layout for the August Write. Click. Scrapbook gallery.
Scrapbooking very simply makes me happy.

Went on a scooter ride last night to deliver very simple invites to the girls I visit teach. Riding my scooter makes me happy.

An unseasonably cool Play-Doh creation by Chase. This boy makes me happy.

My Target back-to-school flyer.
I wonder why all the other stores persist in the same type of headache-inducing advertisements when the simplicity and delightful design of all things
Target make women like me happy enough to photograph their coupons!

it’s good to be back.

After reading your blog I wrote down that Trellis was one of your favorite shops (since I knew I’d be visiting Spokane) and I loved it too…I mean i seriously loved it and am jealous that I dont know about such a great boutique in Houston.

We also visited Coeur D’Alene yesterday and I went to Daisy J’s…if you haven’t been there you must go…it screams Stacy Julian :)

  21. Glad to have you back Stacy, you add colour to so many peoples days. X

  22. Your shoes make me happy! (And your distressed floor and the white wicker — all together this picture is a big MWAH kiss of my current favorite color combo.) Thanks!

  24. Cindy Peterson says:

The advertising envelopes for coupon cards from Office Max make me happy. Have you seen them? WONDERFUL color and design. I always save them in my Cultural Memorabilia box!
I missed you while on your technical sabbatical, and am glad you are back.

  25. Organising my embellishments by colour makes me happy : )
Now if only I can persuade you to show me how to arrange my patterned paper, by colour, I would be REALLY happy. I find the double-sided tricky.
    Welcome back.

  26. WELCOME BACK!

Yes! Target makes ME happy, too!!!
Everything is so bright and colorful and MATCHING!!!!

But, I didn’t get that flyer, so clearly I’m missing something major. Maybe I’ll make a little afternoon trip over there to ENSURE I’m on their mailing list or getting the correct paper inserts or WHATEVER IT TAKES!

Do you think Target knows how much they are exhonorated in scrapbooks across the Nation? Some archeologist, 1000 years from now, is going to do some study on the cultural impact of Target on our society. Their findings will be: Target = HAPPY!

  27. Glad the ‘simple things in life’ make you happy. I totally agree that it’s the little things that really are the happiest.

  28. Brenda DellaVecchia says:

Glad you’re back…it makes me happy.

  29. Will you be my visiting teacher? That would really make me happy!!!

  30. Erika Mendenhall says:

Your photography makes ME happy! I love the candid capturing of your everyday life! Happy to see you..well…happy! :)

PS I would LOVE for you to be my VT too, but it’s a bit of a commute…;)

  31. I absolutely love your tags! I would never think to use that style of tags for a gift tag and you made them SO cute! I wish I liked my handwriting to use on tags (and layouts, for that matter!). I need to play with brads too (you used them to adhere the tags to the gift bags, right? Or what did you use otherwise?).

I just love your work. You are very, very talented! I only wish I had the talent and experience you do!

  32. Molly McCarthy says:

I must say…. you’re red shoes make me happy!! Where did you find those adorable flats?!?!

  33. I also LOVE the Target back to school flyer! My granddaughter who is going into 3rd grade and I spent some time today looking through it and circling with a marker everything she “needed”!
