Disney is AMAZING.

And that’s all I’m going to say right now, because it is time for us to go back to Disneyland. I promise, promise that I will post pictures and share insights into what we’ve learned here (for example, I now know WHY and HOW Disneyland is so clean. I also know how many trash cans there are in the park)

more coming, I promise.

In the meantime, while Kayce waits to troubleshoot the live video chat in Donna’s Fun with Fabric workshop, I will share a few more ‘catch up’ photos.

Did I ever show you my cute YELLOW bicycle?

It’s a 2011 (brand new model) from Specialized and I LOVE it–I LOVE coasting down the big hill to the main road and trail system. Even better, I LOVE that my bike makes getting back up the BIG hill to my house do-able (with miss Addie on the back!)

It has cute, feminine detailing like this.

It also has a very functional wire basket on the front — all I have to do is lift up on the handle bars and the whole basket lifts off. Naturally, I tied a BIG yellow bow around it.

Now, I just need to get a photo of Addie and I as we cruise by!

Yep, Disney is amazing. I remember Sociology 201 or something…and the prof used Disney for tons of examples. How they keep order, cleaniliness, happiness, you name it. I’d love to hear an updated version!!!

  2. I was AMAZED at the effeciency which the whole park was run. It was so clean, the streets, the bathrooms. When there was a parade or fireworks the roped off and ‘herded’ people so wonderfully. Everyone was super crazy friendly.
It really is the happiest place on earth!

  3. I love Disneyland. Annual passes, yeah! I know of those trash cans they use 5 of them for the trash can band. So fun to see them perform.

  4. I have that same basket on my bike …

  5. I LOVE your bike!

  6. Love your bike! My husband has a Specialized, great bikes. Mine’s a Gary Fisher. We used to ride all the time, but this summer we bought a boat and didn’t get out on our bikes once. I miss my bike!

  7. I can’t wait to hear all the details of your Disney experience. I always say that working at Disneyland would be my dream job; everyone is happy all the time! What’s not to love? :)

  8. Stacy, congrats on the new bike, and the working vacation.
Could you tell me more about the bike? Like how it makes getting up the hill easier? I’m baffled by all the gears and such on the bikes these days, as the one I had growing up was a plain jane banana bike.
Visited the site, but didn’t find much info for a layman.

  9. What an adorable bike. I really need to get one. Perhaps I will add my own personal touches too.

  10. love the basket… I have the same one in black and it is soo useful and holds sooo much!

  11. Love the bike!

Hey, we were just at Disneyland less than 2 weeks ago (it’s a looooong flight from Indy). Had a great time. Have you been to the J. Paul Getty museum? Oh my, you are SOOOOO missing out if you haven’t.
    Blessings,
    Toni

  12. We’re taking our DD to Disney next year and it will be exciting to go because I’ve never been. Disney may be famous and fun to visit, but I have a young relative who is working there right now on their internship program and what they say in their job ad isn’t anything like what it is when you get there. I guess that’s true about most places of work any more. They promise so much and deliver so little.

And because of you, I now how Queen’s Bicycle song running through my head! :)
