They say laughter is the shortest distance between two people–right?
I absolutely adore this photo of Chase and Addie.
Chase is gifted at making little people laugh and shortening distances with his unassuming nature.
BTW, Kayce and I are in for three days of laughter, learning and pure unadulterated FUN.
In November, BPC will celebrate our 5th birthday and on Friday, Kayce will turn 30. We’re celebrating this week by treating ourselves to some really cool business classes (on leadership, people management and customer service.) I’ll reveal the location of these classes tomorrow–I’d love to hear your guesses in the meantime!
So, it’s almost the middle of October (can’t believe this) and I’m sitting on at least half a dozen half-written blog posts that document fun times we’ve enjoyed in the last two months. Since my blog is one of the primary ways in which I “scrapbook” I hope you’ll indulge me as I catch up this week. I’m not big on accuracy when it comes to chronology, so I may jump around a bit.
One of the things I love most about August is peaches. We “try” every year to visit Green Bluff where the urban sprawl of Spokane gives way to rolling hills, farms and orchards. On this particular Saturday, we lucked out and got on the last tractor to the peach orchard. People in line behind us were sent away empty handed.
There wasn’t much in terms of low-hanging fruit, but my boys enjoyed climbing the ladders to get to the hard-to-reach deliciousness!
We left with two flats FULL and headed back to the tractor stop and from there back to the main store where we enjoyed a little lunch and some live music …
… and then peaches for dessert–as soon as we had paid–we all grabbed a peach and the juice-fest began.
