Friday FIVE for January 28th

Five “Valentine” things I love.

ONE.

I’m NOT much of a die cut girl, but this is on its way to me.
Addie and I will be making our Valentine’s Day cards together when I return from CHA.

Sizzix BigZ Die

TWO.

Nothing to say, except I think these are deliciously cute.

Martha Stewart

THREE.

How pretty! Years ago I wrote an article for the Close To My Heart magazine. I purchased two boxes of chocolates and a big set of mini-stamps and create two gifts of chocolates and stamps together in little candy liners — this reminded me of that. What a fun gift idea. You could totally share some of your stash (presented like this) with a friend — or, you could buy this from Making Memories too (duh.)

Making Memories

FOUR.

How about an “off-color” valentine embellishment?
I’m not sure I can write an all red & pink post.
I adore these flowers and they are SUPER CHEAP right now.
Of course quantities are limited.

If you’re not into green flowers, click here for the red ones.

FIVE.

If you haven’t visited Monika Wright’s etsy shop (click HERE)  you really should! It’s full of inspiring words. Monika was my Secret Santa at Write. Click. Scrapbook this year, so I received some very fun things for Christmas! Anyway, Monika is letting me gift this delightful poster to one of my blog readers.

My blog reader, Rosann has selected the word, “Declutter” for her word of the year. I think this poster would be a great reminder that all we really need is LOVE, the rest we can live without!
You can visit Rosann’s blog HERE.

  3. Very cute ideas! That print from Monika’s shop is especially FUN! Thanks for sharing! Hope your days at CHA are sunny and warm!

  4. Hmmmm now I need to go and make some Valentine’s cards! Wishing I was at CHA!!!

  5. Oh these are fun. Might have to steal the chocolate box idea. This would make perfect roomie gifts for a retreat I’m attending the week of Valentine’s Day!

I hope you have a great time at CHA. Can’t wait to see pics of all the new goodies coming out.

    Happy Friday to you!

  7. Love the box idea – how cute!

  8. Stacy,

i -love- that you randomly select a winner for your giveaways. first, it takes the guessing and anticipation. And second, it shows your consideration for your blog readers. If I had a blog and/or stuff to give away I would do this too. In fact, that is how I handle gift-giving to the people I love. Sometimes for a birthday or Christmas I get my family little trinkets. no big deal. but I am getting them random things all year round. Just Because Gifts are the best!

  9. MOnika’s stuff is awesome — love her creative flair. Have fun making your valentines with Addie — I think you will find that making Valentines with a little girl is just oodles of fun — plan to make some next week with my girls!

  10. Melanie K says:

I wasn’t much of a die cutter myself. Now I own a Silhouette, a Cricut Expression AND the Slice. Yeah.
    But I do use them!
Thanks for sharing those links too …. more to buy, lol!

  11. I’m so glad you picked something besides red and pink…those flowers are awesome!

  12. You are missing out on die cutting…… I was listening the paperclipping pod cast. I heard them talking about your color organization. Soooo fun. Your are such a firefly. Sometimes I meet people (sometime too many) that suck the life out of you. You…add energy. LOVE!

  13. I don’t have a diecutting machine either but lately I’m considering it. Those delightful flowers make me lean towards one even more! And Monika’s words are all wonderful. I like your Friday Fives :) Have fun at CHA!

  14. I think that Monika’s sign would be perfect for certain One Little Words. Words like declutter or simplify would work well.

  15. jennifer h says:

  16. carol in seattle :) says:

  20. Love the diecut flowers! I am not usually a Valentine person…but this year I think Cupid has too many cute projects in blogland for me not to get a little excited!

  21. I am sooooooo happy you like my dies….I kinda love them myself!
