Project Life!

Guess what?

I got my Project Life in the mail this week.

Except, there is one small problem.
I accidentally ordered the wrong kit color for me.

It’s OK, Becky said I could give this kit away on my blog and get a new kit. So, that’s what I’m going to do.

Linda Mann, who happened to be the first comment on yesterday’s blog post is the WINNER of a beautiful 2011 Project Life kit in Turquoise.

In the meantime, I’ll be patiently waiting for the arrival of my Amber Project Life kit.

Isn’t it pretty?!
I have a really FUN idea for how I will be using my Project Life kit. I *think* it will appeal to a lot of people, especially those that have taken my Library of Memories workshop. To learn more about Project Life and how others are using these innovative products, click on the links in this post or visit Big Picture Classes and join the FREE Project Life Community.

By the way, I have an 2011 LOM update ready to post on Tuesday next week.

Note: When I do giveaways, I simply give things to those who have read and commented on my blog. Just in case you didn’t know.

  1. Oooo! You are such a tease! This is my first year doing project life…can not wait to hear your plan for it! I love inspiration!!! =)

  2. Lucky lady, Linda! I’m looking forward to seeing what you do with this, Stacy.

  3. I cannot wait to hear what an LOM and Project Life combo/hybrid would look like! I love both! LOM changed my scrapping life. Project Life/Project 365 got me capturing more of everyday!

  4. You + Becky = my {TWO} FAVES!! :)

My 2010 Project Life album is completed and I have started my 2011 Project Life album.

I can’t {WAIT} for you to share your idea!! I {SO} like you & all your ideas. I am S.L.O.W.L.Y working on my LOM system, and loving it all along the way!!

Thank you for being you & sharing you, with us!!

    andy :)

  5. So generous of you & Becky. BTW – I love those french doors in your office, I always think they look good inside a house! Looking forward to the LOM2011 update!

  6. Sabrina Kapp says:

Just had to say that I think your new way of selecting random treat recipients is terrific! I’m not a frequent commenter on any blogs, and while this probably won’t change that, it just seems so NICE!

  7. I can’t wait to hear your ideas about project life. I am working on an album for my son (whose a senior) using your idea “180 days album”. I am behind in it, but we’ve had some family stuff to take care of, which always takes precedence over anything else. I will figure out how to catch up though. It is hard to say that “my son graduates from high school this year”! Time is flying by…

  8. I bought the turq. have stalking Amazon and the UPS guy for days. I am tweeking mine a little though. See how it turns out. I did my version of PL last year so purchasing the kit is a first for me.

  9. So neat! Love all the ideas you guys have….and love reading your blog!! Thanks for all you do and SHARE! :)

  10. Well how exciting!
    Congratulations Linda!!!!

  11. How very cool of Becky. I can’t wait to see what you do with this beautiful kit.

  12. Woo hoo! Congratulations Linda! I am so excited for your win – - and I am excited that I will see the progress throughout the year!!! {we just have to make sure we get together to crop!!}
    Happy Happy!!
    Jennifer McIntyre

  13. I can’t wait to see what you are doing with yours. I didn’t order one, so I would love to win one!

  14. Stacy, I am excited to see your ideas for using Project Life.

Also, I know you are a busy woman, but I am so curious how the senior photo album/scrapbook is coming. I would love to see a progress post at some point. My child is no where near this stage/age, but I think your idea is fabulous!

Thank you for sharing your creativity with the rest of us!

  15. I really need to do something this year to save me time and effort on scrapbooking for me. This is definitely something I have been debating…

  16. I love my amber kit, it is sooooo fabulous! PL will be my only venture into paper scrapping, and I haven’t missed a day yet (ha!). I am looking forward to taking LOM :)

  17. Can’t wait for the LOM update. This is my year to get LOM going for me. I’ve been thinking about it for so long, now I just really need to get it started!! And I can’t wait to see your new office!

  18. Christy Miller says:

I’m intrigued by how you’re going to use your Project Life. I love the cards, the colors and the designs but I know I won’t take a picture everyday for a year…but I want to use Becky’s kit so bad! Can’t wait to see what you do!

  19. I love the look of the turquise kit color ;) but so nice of Becky to make two versions, since we tend to like different colors :D

Project Life seems like so much fun to work with, wish I lived in US and could buy it as well… The shipping cost of sending it to Norway is just too too much!

    Have nice weekend!

  20. What a fun surprise give away! I love how you do your giveaways!
And an LOM update? OOOOOOO, CAN’T WAIT!!!

  21. Can’t wait to hear how you’ll be doing your Project Life. I have mine from last year. I was doing a picture a day, but I ran out of steam around Thanksgiving time. I’m hoping I can fudge my way through to finish the year. Haven’t ordered the new one yet, I’ll wait to see your inspiration! I’m anxious to hear about LOM, can’t wait to sign up!!!

  22. Looking forward to YOUR way of using Project Life. This is my third year with PL, and I love it.

  23. I can’t wait to hear how you are using Project Life and how it might fit in with LOM . . .
also can’t wait to see pics from your next office space!!

  24. Would love to try project life. and can’t wait to hear your plan for it…

  25. I am looking forward to seeing how you incorporate your project life into your scrapbooking life. I am also looking forward to another round of LOM. I have been adapting this system into my life for quite some time now. It has been an extremely slow process but I have been reaping the benefits from it so much this past year. I am taking your sister’s class, Decorate Life and I went to my file drawers for some of the photo prompt and I can’t tell you what a great feeling that is to have pictures ready to access!

  26. I just joined the project life community. Can’t wait to see all the creativity!

  27. Congrats Linda!
Super excited to see what you have come up with. LOM changed my life as well as my scrapbooking.

  28. So so so excited to hear your plan for Project Life. I’m anxiously awaiting the availability of the turquoise edition in a few weeks but am diligently staying up to date on photos until then. With your creativity, I am certain your ideas for PL will be awesome! Can’t wait–here’s to an awesome 2011!

  29. Sierra A. says:

Yeah! I bought your Photo Freedom book last spring, just after registration closed at BPS/BPC for your LOM 2010 session and was so bummed I missed it! I’ve been…somewhat patiently…awaiting news about the 2011 session! Can’t wait until Tuesday! I hope I’ll be able to secure a spot this year!

  30. yip i choose the amber too and stacy you will love the lovely greens and yellows in it!
i did PL last year as a photo a day and i loved it – its NEARLY complete – needs a bit of journalling. this year im going to try something different too . just have to get it set up and then i’ll share the idea on beckys blog.
i’d love to hear your take on it too, cheers julie in NZ

  31. That looks like it will be lots of fun!

  32. Very very cool! I am loving everything I am reading about Project Life but not quite ready to make the plunge…

  33. I meant to add- WOOHOO on some LOM news! I have been waiting for it, waiting for it… I LOVE LOM! Every year I get just a little further with my system (making LOM work for me), and I really look forward to another refresher (AKA kick in the pants) this year. Thanks so much, Stacy, for sharing this fabulous system with the world!

  34. I am on pins and needles! First, I can’t wait to hear the LOM news! And I really can’t wait to see how you are going to combine LOM and Project Life! I love the idea of Project Life, but I am not a take-a-picture-every-day sort of girl (believe me…I tried). I hope I can find a way to use Project Life that enhances my LOM!! Thanks in advance for the inspiration…you are wonderful Stacy!! : – )

  35. Did you just not like the turquoise color kit? I considered doing project life. But then I thought, ok, 5 month old baby + 2 BPC classes over the next quarter + work + other commitments…I better not take on anything else at the moment.

  36. Molly McCarthy says:

You’re so cute. And I’m excited to see the french doors leading into your new office. Was that just a subtle tease of your new creative space? Hugs.

  37. It’s pretty funny you mentioned this today! I just got my Amber (I’m a YELLOW girl too) kit in the mail yesterday. I have resisted doing Project Life in the past because I’m not a picture a day kind of gal…but my LOM system has flourished! I actually thought to myself, “I wonder how Stacy would do this.” I think our brains must work alike…because so many of your ideas just WORK for me. (Maybe it’s this house full of boys + one little girl we both have running around?) Not sure if that’s a compliment to you though to say your brain works like mine, wink! Any way…long story short…I’m eager to hear your thoughts about Project Life…I hope you won’t make us wait too long!!! :)

  38. I’m so excited!!! Turquoise is my happy color which makes it perfect for me. Thank you, Stacy!

  39. I am excited to hear about LOM 2011. LOM is a work in progress for me – slow but sure. I get a little more insight and a little more accomplished each year!

  40. This will be my first time doing Project Life. Traditional scrapbooking can get overwhelming for me ’cause I’m such a perfectionist. I think this will be a great way to keep a written a visual record of my life until I’ve eased up enough to handle the real thing. I may even end up doing both at once–who knows?!

  41. I can’t wait to hear how you’re going to combine project life and LOM. I just may want to consider project life now.

  42. jennifer h says:

Also can’t wait to see how you are going to use your kit!! Loving that this kit is so versatile and love, love, love the idea of incorporating the LOM concept!!

  43. I purchased Project life for the first time this year.( Amber) So far I have just been looking at it. I am a tad bit overwhelmed by it. Not sure how I should do it, once a day, once a week etc. Eager to see how you use yours…. Maybe I should go peek at it again :)

  44. oooo….PRETTY. VERY PRETTY.

I really hope to be able to order a PL kit for myself soon!!!

Cant wait to see what you create with yours!!!

  45. BARB TOPPING says:

I am really anxious to see your plans for PL and your one word. What I know for certain is that you put a lot of thought and prayer into commitments like these. I feel that is why your projects are so inspiring to the rest of us. I am so anticipating your announcement for 2011 LOM. Since 2010 was my first year participating in BPC, I missed out on LOM. I hope you have not tired of teaching it and that it does not take up too much of your energy.
Really love the new furniture. Great colors!

  46. Can’t wait to see your spin on Project Life. I have my own spin that makes it do-able.

  47. 1. Both of those kits are so cute! I didn’t order one but wish I did. 2. I think you should make your 180 Days of School into a Project School & sell it the same way. 3. Can’t wait to see photos of your new scrapbook space at your house – I love seeing the way you decorate.

  48. How very generous of Project Life and yourself! I have to investigate this Project Life thing as I don’t know what is involved. I kind of like the turquose tho. Looking forward to your post on Tuesday.

  49. I knew I should have posted sooner. :( Congrats, Lynne.

  50. Michelle Evans says:

Working on updating a school of life book for my upcoming graduate. I’m so glad I kept things in a bin for all these years! (and then sorted and purged them thanks to LOM…..) My son looked through K-8 today (did the album 2 years ago…) and he asked, have you done 9th grade on Mom? Be still my heart. He cares !This is why I scrapbook!

  51. Hope you do some blogging about PL

  52. Christine H says:

Looking forward to the LOM posting as I am planning on this being the year of “action” (my OLW) and LOM is on the list! I’m also curious to see your take on PL as I am contemplating purchasing it.

  53. How generous!

  54. Nicolle Tafoya says:

I’m still trying to decide if I am going to buy PL. I would really love to know how you are going to use it. When are you going to share that with us? I hope sooner than later:)

  55. ana smith says:

I love the way you do give aways, only to those that have something to say to you. And to think I was ready to comment yesterday, but had to leave with my husband to sofa shop. (No, we haven’t found a keeper yet) As to Project Life…….I already have a similar system that I’ll be using this year. p.s. you’re email is the one I look for everyday.

  56. If only they weren’t SOLD OUT right now… sigh.

  57. Okay. I live under a rock. I haven’t seen Project Life before. I now love it, and it’s sold out. :(

  58. .Kimberly sh.boned says:

So excited for 2011 lom info. Thank you for all you you on prt!!_

  59. Hi Stacy, Happy New Year!!

I am so excited you are going to use Project Life and share your ideas…I’m an LOM alum and got the 2010 version of PL…but never did anything with it!!! I am planning to order this years too…(love the colors!!) but haven’t, as I havent started last years!! I know I can adapt it however I want, but just havent gotten that far yet. LOVE all your ideas so maybe there will be something I can use!! Hope you have a blast with it!!

  60. MaryAnn N says:

    Congrat’s to Linda.

  61. So exciting! I can’t wait to hear how you’re going got use Project Life! I did it in 2009 with Becky’s first kit and LOVED it, but I’m not ready to do a picture a day book again, but I LOVE the kit and want to buy one…

  62. How generous of you to share the kit like that. It sure is beautiful! I’m sure the winner will love it! What color will the new one be?

  63. I’m leaning towards the Amber kit too. I haven’t decided if I want to go digital or not this year. Can’t wait to see your take on Project Life.

  64. I can’t wait to see what you have planned for your kit! I have last year’s kit that i didn’t use cause my camera broke and it took awhile to fix and then when it was fixed i just forgot/got too busy to get started.

  65. How generous to give the “wrong” kit away! I think BH’s stuff is fabulous, but i’m using up what i have to do something similar to “project life”.

  66. Lucky us!! I would LOVE to have Project Life, and I actually would have picked the one you are giving away!! Thanks Stacy!!

  67. I WANT to try the kit, but I’m concerned that it will sit on my shelf all year. Do you really think this could help me scrapbook more? My inclination is to wait and see how everyone else uses the kit and then maybe get it next year. But I always do that. Wait and see. And not scrapbook. Today I saved the tag from my baby’s first pair of real shoes, but I don’t know where to put it! Hmmm… The turquoise kit is definitely my color, though.

  68. I just signed up for this class and everything is new to me so want to know more but what is LOM

  69. Happy New Year Stacy!!

First off I want to thank you for being a wealth of information! I get your blog postings sent via email…which I love because I never have to miss any of your advice, findings, ideas… or whatever you little morsel you have to throw our way! For example, your Lisa Leonard jewelry…loved! SO I sent the link to my hubby, who actually kept it for a few months and surprised me with a beautiful necklace for Christmas! Also your Chop2pot…hello, can’t live without that. I got it and sent to all my cooking family members! Oh and your endless projects…I’m currently doing the 180 days of my son who is a junior. A bit modified, but love the idea. SO anywho, you get the picture…you’re incredible : ) SO now I’m in love with this Project Life, but Amazon says “Currently Not Available” Ahhh, is it sold out…already? OR has the 2011 version not hit the shelves yet. If anyone knows, please help a scrapaholic out here! And Stacy, keep those ideas flowing, you are truly an inspiration.

  70. Barb in AK says:

Can’t wait to get more info about LOM!! It will be my second year–and BOY! DO I NEED IT! I’ve been alerting some of my friends that you will be posting on Tuesday. They keep telling me they want to take the class. I don’t know what is keeping them from acting upon it. But I’ll keep spreading the word about ALL the wonderful classes at BPC :-)

  71. i am anxiously awaiting for tuesday to see about lom. i have been waiting and i am so excited. i want to do the class, i bought the book and have already started some of it. but can’t wait until class. hopefully. tomorrow i will be on my way…thank you so much for adding such sparkle to my life.

  72. It’s exciting to know that you’re doing PL too! And I was patiently waiting to hear about LOM 2011 (ok … not so patiently … I actually emailed you to see if you were doing it this year). I’ve been saving my pennies all year to sign up. Can’t wait!!!! :-)

  73. Dang – missed the giveaway – but I think I’m gonna do PL in the digital form this year. I did it last year, and LOVE IT – but I’m about 4 months behind on the journaling cards. Hopefully digital will be a bit easier for me to keep up with. But I”m interested in your new idea for PL, it might twist my arm back to the traditional version!

PS – I have the same sweater you’re wearing in your picture – and love it. Target rocks!

    Have a great day!

  74. Karen Schmidt says:

I got my PL last week. I’m still thinking of what I want to do with it though. I’m an LOM alumi and was thinking the PL was opposite of LOM but I’m interested on seeing what you have in mind. I hope you share soon. I also will check out the PLC at PBC. Can’t wait for next Tuesday.

  75. I am anxious to find out how you plan to use your PL kit. I hope you’ll post about that soon! Happy New Year :-)

  76. I’m soooo excited for LOM! I can’t wait. My sister and my friend and I are all signing up this time! Waiting (not so) patiently……..

  77. conniemelancon says:

this is something I wanted to do…hopefully next year!

  78. The PL looks like a lot of fun. Enjoy.

  79. Fiona Nottoli says:

This is my first year with Project Life. I love it and the community on BPC is fantastic.
I can’t wait to see what you announce for LOM 2011. I am so excited for LOM to start.
    Come on Tuesday!!!!

  80. I couldn’t keep up with 25 days of December Daily so I think I’ll hold off on Project life. :) But I am just now reading Photo Freedom so maybe I will be liberated enough to attempt it next year. Thanks for the inspiration!

  81. so excited you are doing this :) I’ll have fun watching your blog posts on Project Life, can’t wait to hear about your plan.

I’m using last years kit since I did only 3 days from last year. So far this year I’m a roll :)

  82. Way to go Linda Mann, how sweet is that. Some of the LOM Sistas are doing the Project Life. Hopefully, we will see you soon at a crop.

Stacy, how exciting! Can’t wait to see what you come up with. You will need to do a video for your new office.

  83. I can’t wait to hear when the 2011 LOM class will be. I’ve been waiting since Oct 09 when I came across a posting about LOM. I have purchased & read both books. I also have 12 empty storage containers ready for organizing my colors.

  84. Can’t wait to see what you are doing with Project Life. I love doing this for my family. I imagine years from now some grandchildren sitting down and laughing at what our every day life looked like.
And I am loving having the community at BPS to talk about Project Life.

  85. ok. so its tues. and i have checked my in box for info on LOM probably at least 20 times since 6am. I can hardly wait to see what it is. hurry

  86. Stacy, I chose not to do ProjLife this year but looking forward to your posts… maybe that will get me geared up to tackle it in 2012. I am looking forward to seeing more posts/updates on your son’s school photo project though. I am also doing 180 Days and would love some of your inspiration to move me forward with this project! Thanks for your inspiration!!!!

  87. Hey Stacy!

I can’t wait to see what you do with Project Life as it applies to LOM. I love taking photos everday of the year – it helps me to be more aware of the life we have and it encourages me to take photos of our everyday life.

Oh – and let’s see that office!

    Happy New Year.
    aka The 15 Minute Mom

  88. I got so excited when my PL came too! It came on the perfect day (how does it know how to do that?) – a day when I was crashed out on the sofa from horrific pain episodes I get from RSDS. So instead of just being miserable, I could be miserable and happy and excited. I love when life works like that. I tried to bribe my son to finish his school work before helping me but we couldn’t wait. We got the Turquoise kit. My first time using divided protectors and I know know this will be fun. And it works so well with my developing LoM ( it still in the infancy stage being fed baby food…). Can’t wait to read your posts on your PL arrival and pages, Stacy. Congrats to Linda!! My S-I-L has the same name – I had to check that it was her or not. Lattice of coincidence (Repo Men movie)

  89. Very excited to see how you’re combining LOM and Project Life. It’s something that’s been on my mind (I’m a 2010 LOM’er), but so far I haven’t come up with anything.

  90. Wow!! I would love it in any color-such a fabulous kit. My friend has last years and I checked it out-amazing and truly very simple and thought prevoking for scrappers. BTW-loved ur bucket ideas for a christmas countdown! Thanks for the opportunity!

  91. So much fun! I just got mine as well. Now to clean up the scrapbook room and get started!!!
