little things.

Everyone is trying to accomplish something big,
not realizing that life is made up of little things | Frank A. Clark

Most of us miss out on life’s big prizes. The Pulitzer. The Nobel. Oscars. Tonys. Emmys. But we’re all eligible for life’s small pleasures.
A pat on the back.
A kiss behind the ear.
A four-pound bass.
A full moon.
An empty parking space.
A crackling fire.
A great meal.
A glorious sunset.
Don’t fret about copping life’s great rewards. Enjoy it’s tiny delights.
There are plenty for all of us | Anonymous

The sun, with all those planets revolving around it and dependent on it, can still ripen a bunch of grapes little, imperfect strawberries as if it had nothing else in the universe to do | Galileo

Maybe you could take 3 pictures of little things today?
We’re off to a family reunion.
Happy Happy Summer

Love the quote – so very true!!

  3. I’m almost in TEARS over this little reminder. It’s a wonderful post. Thank you!!!!
(And a GREAT layout idea…off to take pictures of my little ones doing little things. Hey! I have grapes in the fridge, maybe I’ll scraplift this quote, too!!!!)

As always, thanks for the inspiration!

  4. Oh Stacy I wish I had this quote when a friend was belly-aching about his life. It’s beautiful reminder. Hope you don’t mind that I pinned it and the frog. (It’s so unbelieveable because I have a similar picture of a teensy frog in my palm and it was taken by that very friend!)

  5. What a great post! Thanks for reminding us to enjoy the little things. I remind my husband from time to time that our children will remember the family game nights, time spent relaxing on the boat, walks to the park, all these “little” things rather than the big fancy expensive vacations we wish we could do more of.

Love this post. This week i’ve seen a bounce of little things. I’ve seen a turkey and 4 babies right up next to my house. I’ve seen a killdeer bird and her baby in the babysitters drive way every morning. I’ve also seen a pheasant with 6 babies. all of these little things and no camera to take a picture.

Was just standing out in the garden “admiring” the hole digging expertise of our hound dog and she hunts down the current mole invasion when I noted two lovely butterflies on my butterfly bush. Ran and got the camera for some quick pics. I love my yard this time of year. I think I have about 100 pics of my new raised bed gardens as things grow and ripen.

  8. If ever this came when I needed it most.. I have been “trying” and working at a “dream” but it seems like I can’t break through I know there will be many many MANY No’s and although I’ve heard yes I haven’t heard the Yes I think I need. I just have to remember if I do love what I am doing I just have to keep at it. Thank you for the reminder.

  9. I completely agree. Just yesterday, I spent 15 mintues running around in the rain with my 3yo. It was a blast!

  11. Loving your posts these days! I can tell your life is back in balance – Go Stacy!!

  12. Love the quotes on this post! I did take three little photos: my newly opened red Gerbera Daisies, a blue jay at the bird feeder and a book my granddaughter read this weekend and left on the bench. Thanks.

  13. I love this post…and that quote. Thanks, Stacy!
