Hello Addie.

We’ve waited four LONG days to wear this first-day-of-school outfit and fill up this Hello Kitty lunchbox.

I’d say it was worth the wait.

  1. That’s a long time to wait! My daughter always begs me to let her wear her new shoes before school starts. Addie’s smile is precious!!!

  2. I can not believe how big she is getting!! I feel like just yesterday she was learning to walk!!!!
She is so adorable in that outfit! Love her!!! Miss you all!

  3. Madeline St Onge says:

What a big beautiful smile she has. Hope it was a good day for her

  4. What a big girl- so grown up and sweet! My baby started his first day of PreK today as well and he did great! They grow up so quickly, don’t they?!

  5. I’m pretty sure I’ve told you this before but that adorable smile of hers would get her pretty much anything she wanted at my house. :) She looks totally sweet and happy as always! Enjoy the quiet Mommy!

  6. You do know that Addie has set the bar for cutest-smile-and-the-world-is-wonderful list contenders?
Having a pile of boys in my house, I imagine that Hello Kitty and dressing up would be SO MUCH FUN! Can you tell I’m envious…

  7. What is it that makes it so hard for children to wait for that first day and wear that special outfit? My daughter laid it out on her floor and just looked at it for a week. :) Cute girl.

I wanted you to know that I used your idea for your “PLAYbook” and made my kids Doodle Journals to write in every day. I gave them a word, like “Milk” or “Playground” or “family” or “TV” to doodle, write, and think about every day. It’s been a HUGE thing for my 8 year old son who struggles to talk about his feelings and has a hard time spelling and reading… the idea was so inspiring! He’s been writing every day and we’ve found out how he REALLY feels about his new found milk allergy, his friends, school, etc. You’re brilliant!

  8. She is so precious!!! I know you enjoying every moment of this time! :)

  9. She is such a fashionista, just like her mother! I hope her first day of kindergarten was wonderful!

  10. In that first picture, Stacy, she has your smile (and I know this after seeing 10 weeks of it of Finding Photo Freedom!). Precious.

  11. Oh my word, she has grown so quickly. I remember that little baby you were holding in your arms (wasn’t it yesterday?), and now……. where is my hankie!?

  12. Oh, she is so cute! What fun. I looooove to buy school supplies and prep for back to school. Enjoy!

  13. She is so stinkin cute!!! Please please please!!! More pics of Addie. Thanks for sharing.

  14. Oh my Addie is so adorable! Hope her first day went well!

  15. Bec Kilgore says:

I guess my phone didn’t connect with my comment earlier. She is just precious. Everything anyone could want in a daughter. I can’t believe how big she is. What a blessing.

  16. Oh Stacy, she is so adorable! You are a very blessed woman. Your husband and children (and us) are very blessed to have you in their lives too.

  17. She is so cute and she looks so excited about the first day! My 11 year old would love that lunch box. Hope she has a fabulous first week. Take care xx

  18. How sweet!!

  19. So hard to believe Miss Addie is ready to start school already – such a big girl. Having had the privilege of seeing her grow up through your blog has been such a pleasure. Enjoy school, Addie!

  20. Patience is really hard at that age! Just think. . .in another week she can wear it again :)

  21. Kitty would be impressed at how she’s dressed for success. Hope her first day is fab!

  22. She’s adorable, hope she has a grand first day!

  23. BARB TOPPING says:

Oh so precious. It seems like she looked like a toddler just yesterday. Honest, I am certain that she did. Now so little girl and off to school. Hope her day was as happy as she looks in the photo.

  24. LOVE seeing Miss Hello Addie!! Too cute!! :)

  25. Love the pictures! Can you tell me where you got her sweater – adorable!

  26. How sweet! Hope she had a fun first day of school! :-)

  27. Beyond adorable! I love how the outfit and lunchbox coordinate with each other. A girl after my own heart. I can’t wait to see what she picks when she’s a teenager!

  28. She is just so precious! You are one lucky Mom :)
