Stamps. Play! and Fight On …

Sorry. I need to stop telling you when I’ll do something, because it is clear that I struggle with follow thru! In all honesty, what I struggle with is realistic expectations, especially after returning from a weekend away. The bottom line is I’m not 35 anymore and I don’t bounce back like I used to AND, I still have work that piles up when I’m gone. Therefore, I should NOT promise to blog for at least a week after being gone. I know it’s OK … none of you were losing sleep because I failed to show up, ha!

I do so appreciate your comments and answering my Cricut/Artbooking questions. I’m getting pretty excited about my Artbooking cartridge, especially after seeing MORE of what can be done at the album retreat that I attended. Anyway, I’ll be sending the Framework Alphabet #E1027 and the Take Note #D1574 stamps sets to Juliette, who left a comment on October 16th.

ONE of the primary reasons that I was swamped last week, was because we launched our FIRST “real” live event over at BPC.  If you’ve been around awhile, then you might remember that we did a small, exclusive event in Hawaii last year, to “test” our live + online event model. I’m happy to report that we’re back at it and this time, we have room for 200 in our live audience. Registration is now open for Play! and you can read all about it, when you click on the image above.

In fact, I have neglected to give away TWO copies of the super-cool Compendium book, Fight On (mentioned here.) I promised my friends at that I would blog about their special offer in support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. They are donating 10% of their website sales for the entire month of October (yes, you have ONLY two days left!) to the Seattle Cancer Care Allliance (SCCA) and its mission to provide patient-focused cancer care and conduct world-class cancer research.

So, how about YOU check out Play! and then leave me a comment.
Tell me what aspect of the event sounds the most FUN to you and I’ll pick two blog readers to receive Fight On

Btw, I used the inspiration in Fight On all throughout my presentation at the CTMH album retreat. This book would make a fantastic gift for any woman in your life that needs or exudes strength—which is any one of us depending on the day! This book is full of beautiful images and encouraging words and makes you want to stand up and fight, regardless of the fight that is left in you. It is one of my MOST favorite Compendium books ever and that is saying a lot!

So, there you have it. A new event and a chance to WIN a super-cool book.
I really should blog more often …

  1. I am so excited that the event is close to me. (I live in LA) I’m saving my pennies in hopes to go! I’m most excited about learning from Ali Edwards live and in person.

  2. Susan Romick says:

yea, maybe you should blog more often, but then again maybe not. Sometime it is the anticipation that is just as much fun. Isn’t that what Heinz used to say. Anyway, your blog posts always make me smile. Thanks and PLAY ON!

  3. Boy, do I understand the hard to keep up and not as young as I was. But the good news in we keep creating and keep on moving. Like Dory in Nemo, “Just keep swimming, just keep swimming”. I do look forward to the blog posts when they happen.

  4. Wow, an amazing line up of instructors. Wish I could be there live but will likely be here at home and enjoying nonetheless.

  5. Really hope I can find a way to go…been out of jobs since January of this year (just started one less than a month ago), no savings, bills way overdue from 10 months without paying much. Not looking in my favor, but really trying to see what I can come up with. Loved the first one and sure the second one is going to top it. REALLY hope I can find a way!

    • After all, CHA sneaks, Disney for a day, & spending time with Stacy during the whole time, do we really need to say more?

    • We’d love to have you there Jennifer, but understand completely if you need to sit this one out and opt for the online. Sounds like you’ve had a tough year. Hang in there!!

  6. The aspect of the Play event that sounds the most fun to me is learning from such a great collection of teachers – some of my favorites! Specifically I’m looking forward to Ali’s class on making storytelling fun. Sounds great!

  7. Cathleen Robin Sullivan says:

I am so excited about this event!!! I was planning on going out Anaheim because my daughter is running her first 1/2 marathon at Disneyland on Jan 19. I will be out there a little bit longer now. Thanks see you soon :). Cathleen Robin

  8. Beth Draeger says:

Play! Sounds inspiring, amazing, exciting, necessary, fantastic, creative & fun! Need I say more?? :) Thanks so much for sharing all of this with us!

  9. Shari Czerwinski says:

Looks amazing. Wish I could be there. I love the idea of an in person demo!

  10. Oh, Stacy, as usual just reading the description of one of your events is inspiring!!! I love how you think outside the box.

“We’re talking gratuitous glitter, Play-Doh, a bounty of bubbles, and other surprises to help you unleash your playful (and creative) spirit.” Not to mention an all-you-can-eat cold cereal bar!

You have encouraged me this morning:)

  11. Wowser, the play date sounds wonderful. I would love to attend, but alas, I must be one of the online attendees. What a great lineup of women. I just love what you come up with..

  12. I like the fact that it can be done from home, there are amazing teachers and the focus is to keep scrapbooking fun!

  13. Karen Schmidt says:

The all you can eat ceral is most exciting to me. Plus meeting all the teachers I’ve read about or have taken classes from.

  14. Kathy Meredith says:

I am so excited to be going to Play! I loved 12/12/12 in Hawaii. The teacher line up in Anaheim is fantastic and with Stacy as our inspiration how can we not just have the best time! Can’t wait to play!!

  15. I love all things by Stacy and my daughter and I absolutely loved the Hawaii event (online). We each made 2012 book and love it!
I’m excited about May. She is so brave and has a lot of fun with paint, ink, mists, etc. I would love to learn to let go and have fun and PLAY like May does!!

  16. I am most excited by the instructors. I have been admiring their work for years!

Thanks for the giveaway and have a great week!

  17. I think Play! in January just sounds like a good idea, that is, to do something very fun in the winter!
I love BPC Events & Classes… Looks like Big FUN :)

Thanks for the chance to win this lovely book!

  18. The teacher line-up is my favorite part. The instructors would be on my “dream team” list – it’s so fantastic that they’ll all be together at the same event!

  19. Playing with all of you. Being inspired. And Disneyland.

  20. The teacher line-up sounds amazing. I would LOVE to be there. I really enjoyed the 12-12-12 event–my book is wonderful (and I kept meaning to photograph & upload it so you could see it!). Love Compendium books too!

  21. giraffemom aka carol :) says:

I adore Disneyland so that would be number one. But I’m very interested in the Product Playground. Who can resist new stuff right at CHA? Sounds like a super fun event and I wish I had the money to go with you!

  22. It made my day when Stacy emailed me that I had won the CTMH stamp sets. Thank you!

  23. Angeline at Compendium says:

I definitely love the idea of a all-you-can-eat cereal bar! This sounds like a fun gathering!

And thank you for spreading the word on Fight On and Compendium. We truly appreciate all you do. Blogging regularly takes so much thought and work! It’s definitely important to find a balance and set goals that work for you. :)

  24. It would be so fun to be with instructors that I faithfully follow!
