I am teaching Finish Line Scrapbooking at the new CHA Super Show in Anaheim, CA January 22-23rd. Kayce, Dawn (the new marketing director at BPS) and several other friends will be helping me and attending the trade show as well!
I’m super excited as I’ll be in a classroom set up for 200 people — imagine! I’m also pretty excited because this SuperShow isn’t just for scrapbookers, but all crafters and Finish Line is a perfect class for someone who has yet to take the scrapbooking plunge; anyone that has never worked in a 6×6 format; anyone that needs to overcome common barriers to creative scrapbooking; anyone that would love to learn a wonderful creative process for getting a bunch of pictures into an adorable album FAST … hey, this class is for anyone!
American Crafts is on board as a sponsor with 6×6 Modern Albums and I’ve selected 5 two-sided pattern papers from October Afternoon.
When you come (I’m looking forward to meeting lots of blog readers) you will need to bring 25 to 45 4×6 photographs and 50 black embellishments (buttons, brads, frames, tickets, photo turns, etc…) and be ready for two-hours for energizing fun that results in a finished 6×6 scrapbook.
I’ll be posting more information about gathering embellishments and sharing some of my favorites.
I have taught Finish Line for 3 years in lots of different places (London, Sydney, Wellington, Japan — and at several CK conventions.) I never grow tired of teaching this class, because it is such a treat to see all those photos come in and so many different and wonderful albums go out.I get to work with different papers and see the unique results of students bringing their own embellishments and design flair to the experience.
I love this class and this process so much that I am developing a Finish Line class for Big Picture Scrapbooking. More info on that coming soon!

See my class description and register HERE.
If you live anywhere near Anaheim, California you will most definitely want to come to this SuperShow and *wink* take my class.
I have one other very cool surprise up my sleeve. I’m working with my friend Molly to do something I’ve always wanted to do. We will debut at CHA and I cannot wait to tell (and show) you more!
In the meantime, October Afternoon was MORE than generous with me when they sent me my CHA Finish Line papers. I have THREE hefty packages of Happy Mail (full of beautiful NEW OA product) ready to send out. Leave me a comment and tell me “yes” or “no,” have you ever created a 6×6 album? I’ll close comments on Friday at noon and post the results by 3:00pm.

Not sure that you’ll actually catch a comment out of over 400 and it’s not a contest entry AND a couple of days old by now but this post begs the question – when ya bringing Finish Line to BPS? Inquiring minds are eager to know! You’ve hinted at it….. Thanks!
Love to make beats then you should take a look at sonicpro. It works so well, i love all the beats i make.
I have one in the works!
I have not made a 6×6 but would like to try one. I love your finish line album concept (and October Afternoon! Thanks for the opportunity to win some OA goodies! Would you consider making this a BPS project now class for those of us who cannot attend the CHA?
Yes I have completed a few 6×6 albums. Thanks for the chance to win some OA goodies!
Haven’t done a 6X6 yet but have done a few 8X8’s.
No. Not yet
I’m just starting one for my sis that will be a reminder of different ways to pray for your children each day. I’m excited about doing one for myself and friends too.
Yes! Just made two 6×6 albums for a sister in law and friend who were having babies. The albums were a ‘picture a month’ style and I love that smaller space to work with. Here’s a link to my blog where I posted a few pictures if you care to look: http://klbastow.blogspot.com/2009/09/finally.html
Love those 6×6 and 8×8 sizes!
Nope, never done one!
I’ve never done a 6×6 album, nor any 6×6 pages to include in my bigger albums. I would be interested in taking this class from BPS!
Yes, I have done a couple of baby albums in this size…. it is challenging to move to the small size after working in 12 X 12 for so long..
Yes I have made a 6×6 album, fun size to work with! Would love to play with October Afternoon paper, what a fun giveaway!

I’m working on my first 6X6 to document our December preparations for Christmas. Such a fun project! This size seems to make everything quick and easy!
yes – a handful but in particular I recall an album for my grandma using beautiful flower/plant photos from her yard over several years that my mom had collected matched with some poems that were written by my grandma’s late sister (mainly a collection from the 1930’s) that were printed in her sister’s memoir booklet when she passed away in the early 2000’s. Really really cool to do. And to hear about my grandma’s reaction (since we live thousands of miles apart). Heidi
I love that size , have made gifts for my daughter’s friends b-days.. .it’s great!!!
I made a cute 6×6 album for my son, who was working in Montana. All the girls on his team oohed and aahed.
not yet, but I just bought a couple 6X6 AC albums at Michael’s. They’re so cute
Once Christmas is over and my scrappy gifts are completed, then I’ll dig in and get started.
No, I have not worked with 6×6 before. I did my first 8×8 album last Christmas, as a gift, and I’m going to do a 4×6 photo album scrapbook with my Thanksgiving photos this year.
Yes, I’m using that size for our Halloween memories! It’s so cute.
FUN giveaway!!
yes, I have. My favorite was a tribute to my hometown with a picture of something we love for every letter of the alphabet!
Can’t wait to see what you have new! I love OA. Thank you so much for the chance to win.
Wow, I have made a few pages for 6×6 with no pictures. I’ve always wanted to try and do an album that size. There just seems to be something interesting or maybe it would be a good way to get the personal satisfaction knowing that I had created something from start to finish in a short time. I hope the time comes that I will be able to take one of your classes.
Yes, sort of, I am creating two right now. I am doing a Dec. Daily album (Ali’s) and a receipe album (Cathy Z). Both are in process. I love those papers. They would work great with my projects. Thanks for the chance.
Yes, I have one in progress and nearly completed. They are photos of my daughter (now 2) with her stuffed puppy every month. I was really dedicated for the 1st year, now I don’t remember to take the photos as often!
6X6 is great, and I would love to take the class at BPS!
Yes, I just created my first one; a digital 6×6 book of our golden retriever, Bear, as a Christmas present for my hubbie. It was easy and so much fun!
I have done a 6×6, but not on myself…..good idea. Hoping I can gather that paper and be an early bird for the BPS class. Love that paper…..
I made a 6×6 album in one of your classes at CK Seattle…you had just added your daughter to the family, and you were GLOWING. Every time I see my album, I have 3 sets of memories. 1)The album itself 2)Making the album at CK with friends and 3) you & your Mom’s excitement and you carrying your jewel around in a front pack.
I made a 6 X 6 pre-school album for my oldest son! Love it!

I have never done a 6×6 album. I think it would be a fun size for a small project.
I have made several 6 x 6 albums. I also took Stacy’s Finish Line Scrapbooking class in Spokane and absolutely loved it!!! I’m thinking of maybe signing up for Anaheim – California in the end of January sounds like a great idea when it was 7 degrees this morning!
Kathy
I have made a 6X6 mini book before and I love it! I am trying to do a lot more and start a basket to display on a table in our living room. My 4 year old son loves looking through the mini ones! Thank you for a chance to win some OA love!
I have not created a 6×6 album but I have worked with 8×8 albums.
Hi Stacy,
Yes, I have made 6×6 albums. They are terrific for summer vacations, a trip or a surprise gift.
Have fun in CA, my home state! Now living in NY.
This sounds like so much fun!
Hi. I made quite a few of these but my favorite is my San Fran album that I scraplifted from you!!
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Regina
I have made dozens! I love the small format. It makes me get right to the point! I also like to have these around my house where people can feel free to pick them up and pore over them much more quickly than with a traditional 12X12 scrapbook.
yes – love little albums! AND I love the finish line class – I was so blessed to be able to meet you and take this calss in DC a couple of years ago – and I’ve used the technique to complete several albums in lots of differnt sizes. Merry Christmas!! ~ J
No, I have not made a 6×6 album but I would love to have some help giving it a try!
