Your *sprinkle* this week is to take a MUSIC BATH (with or without water.)
Here’s how you take a music bath:
Go to a quiet, secluded, distraction-free place (bring a journal and pen)
Play music you love for 10 to 15 minutes
Close your eyes and allow the cleansing power of music to clear your mind
Once you’ve cleared your brain of other thoughts, pay attention to what enters.
Listen and learn.
After your “bath” take a few minutes to write in your journal
NOTE: It might be fun to try this creativity-enhancing exercise with both music you love and are familiar with and again with music that is a new genre for you. I purchased beautiful violin music by Jenny Oaks Baker over the weekend that I will be bathing in.
Enjoy (and feel free share your thoughts too!)
