I didn’t want to post this …

… before Christmas, because it was one of the gifts I gave to my mom. In fact, I’ve created one of these for her almost every year since I discovered them.

It was quite easy to assemble and will be well-used. Criteria that for me, make a personalized gift worth the investment of time. I used the MyBook Adaptable Planner, a blank 2011 calendar book with lots of room for pretty papers and photos. I also used the December kit from Scarlet Lime, which took all guess work out of the design.

All I had to do was cut papers and slip them into the cover and monthly divider pages. My mom can add photos of grandchildren throughout the year and has a wonderful blank slate where she can record events and appointments. I used this punch to create the tabs.

Other than the super-cute factor, the best part of this planner is that it is really a traveling journal and results in a wonderful reference of the year. And, right now, you can save 50% if you buy a pack of five. It’s important to note that when I blog about something in a promotional manner these days, there is no advertising involved. In other words, I only promote something when I really like it or use it myself.

Here’s another FUN calendar idea from Celeste over at Write. Click. Scrapbook.

Enjoy this holiday week.
I am.
