Hallelujah

Easter. Makes me so happy.
My favorite hymn to sing is Christ the Lord is Risen Today.

Christ the Lord Is Risen Today Mormon Tabernacle Choir

My favorite scripture is Luke 24:5-6, when the angels ask the women who come to the tomb with embalming spices early on Sunday morning,
"Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen ..."

I LOVE this talk, by Gordon B. Hinckley. It's titled, The Wondrous and True Story of Christmas, and in it he says, "There would be no Christmas if there had not been Easter. The babe Jesus of Bethlehem would be but another baby without the redeeming Christ of Gethsemane and Calvary, and the triumphant fact of the Resurrection."

I am so thankful that I was taught about Jesus Christ as a young child. That I have been exposed to His teachings in both The Bible and The Book of Mormon. He is my Savior and because I know that, I have an abiding sense of peace in this world, even during the most turbulent times. This (to me) is an unspeakable gift and I concur with those in the video above.

#Hallelujah.

I hope you've seen this awesome clip of The Mormon Tabernacle Choir combined with a virtual chorus of voices from all over the world. You will want to stand and sing or clap, or cry or something! And if this isn't enough, you can watch and sing along with the MoTab in MessiahLIVE (the full Messiah) HERE. It will be available to stream through April 4th at 11:59pm. Use hashtag #MessiahLive on social media to learn and experience more.

There is much about spring that I love. I'm a BIG fan of the Easter Bunny. I love to host a little egg hunt in our backyard/community park each year on the Saturday before Easter Sunday. I LOVE the daffodils in my front yard and all the buds on the trees. I love the longer and (slightly) warmer days that herald summer, but above all I love the opportunity to remember and celebrate the life and mission of Jesus Christ and the assurance of a resurrection and eternal life.

Happy Easter!
