Week in the Life | Day 2
I did much better today on the picture-taking side of things. Here are 36 of the pictures I took. Scroll down for bullet-point notes that will help me document Tuesday when my kit arrives.
1. Trey's script for The 39 Steps 2. The inside of our garage which Geoff just recently cleaned after a long, slushy winter 3. Boys headed to CVHS. Trey drives Taft + Ethan Walters 4. Early morning sky 5. Daffodils (yay, spring!) 6. Toes in wet, cold, GREEN grass 7. One more view of the garage + our current vehicles
8. Back inside. Geoff is reading scriptures 9. Addie is on task, making her lunch. Peanut butter sandwich 10. New-ish earrings 11. Most days, Addie tries a few different shoe options in front of this mirror 12. Most days, we read kid scriptures together 13. Today, I drove Addie to school for an early meeting 14. Addie's resource teacher, Mrs. Reiber leads this group in an update of Addie's IEP 15. Unexpected and delightful walk in the rain with Kerry 16. The slug we just about stepped on 17. After showering, I'm headed to the mall Note: This weeklong documentation is showing me that I eat too many meals in my car! 18. I have always LOVED escalators 19. I've been going to Cindy to get my nails done (almost consistently) for 16 years 20. These trees by JC Penney at the mall bloom once a year for 2 weeks and I LOVE them 21. Back at home and tackling my daily chores 22. Back in the car headed to get Addie for speech—more food—lunch I guess? 23. Most weeks, I run errands for the hour that Addie is at speech 24. Today is a stop at Michaels 25. Stretching and framing this canvas for the corner in my living room that I've been working on 26. 4:00pm pick up Addie at Christie's house 27. Some days, I crash for 20-30 minutes just before dinner. Laying down helps curb my appetite and ward off any grumpiness 28. Our world is greening-up. LOVE the view out my bedroom window 29. My view during dinner prep 30. Addie is our faithful table-setter. Today she declares is "Sit where you want day" which means there are no names written on napkins 31. After dinner clean-up: Taft is my very faithful helper who always jumps up (sometimes a bit too early) and puts the food away 32. After meal relaxation: Trey on his iPhone and Addie on YouTube 33. I'm at the city council meeting, realizing that the agenda is long and I might be home later than expected 34. I do appreciate the chance to be involved in decision-making that affects my community 35. Back home to tuck this one in—too late 36. My evening ritual of herbal tea and dark chocolate!
And there you have it.
Some days I wonder what I've accomplished. I'm glad for this process so I can get this week's view and SEE what I'm up to (most days!)
