Connected Stories š Traditions
So I filmed this video at the end of last summerāfor the Close To My Heart blog. Actually, I made two versions. The one I sent them and this one, which is a tad longer. I finally decided to finish this one up and share it here. Hereās why: Because for years I had a dream of designing cool products to help people tell stories, but I didnāt believe I could. I told myself, āIām not a designer.ā I told myself, āIām a blogger and a teacher and more of an editorial-type person.ā BUT, these ideas started coming to me and about the same time, my friend, Jillāfrom Close To My Heartāreached out to see if I would be available to speak at an upcoming convention. I said, āYes, but can I talk to you about something else?ā
Iāve probably told this story before, but stories like this should be told and retold. I had a dream and now, because I opened my mouth and decided it was OK to be and feel vulnerable, Iām seeing these products come to life and thousands of amazing CTMH consultants are helping me share them with the worldāor at least 4 countries in the world, ha! šš»
If youāve been reading my blog long, then you know ā¦ I LOVE connections. I LOVE the big picture behind our memories, the reasons WHY we keep doing the things we do, sometimes for generations. I LOVE discovering and documenting these stories and I want to help YOU do the same. Itās SO satisfying to do so.
WATCH the video and then think of some everyday topic that you could build a story around and then get curious about the connections inside that story. I promise, theyāre there! And, just for the record, this is NOT the kind of scrapbooking you can be behind on. Isnāt that AWESOME? You canāt be behind when you craft a story like thisāyou just canāt. The ONLY thing you can be is SO Far Ahead!
