Extended Stories đż Travel
For many, many years, THIS is how I scrapbookedâ2 pages that sit opposite each other in an album, whether it was an 8 1/2 x 11 or 12x12 album. TODAY, I want to show you a super-cool way to âextendâ traditional scrapbook pages and create something that is MORE! More personal, more interactive and more meaningful.
This approach involves combining different sizes and styles of memory protectors into one unified layout that I call an extended story. You guysâthese layered scrapbook pages are SO MUCH FUN to create.
What I often do now is design my 12x12 pageâand use it as the foundation page or bottom layer. If I want to design a 2-page spreadâlike I did here with our summer road trip up through Canada, then just insert both pages back to back in a 12x12 protector as your foundation. Then start adding layers. You might enjoy this pack of memory protectors and these storytelling insert cards.
And hereâs the video version.
I donât create scrapbook pages as often as I used to, so when I do choose a story to document, I want to include more photos and more details and I really enjoy creating connections across time. This is where I am in my storytelling journey with traditional scrapbook pagesânot so often, but much more satisfying. Iâve got everything you need for pages like these!
NOTE: The most recent addition to my Story by Stacy collection is the how-to book, Storyteller. This book reviews the storytelling skills that are outlined in the first three kits and then introduces Extended Story. LEARN more about these products HERE.
