Live Your Story with Stacy Julian

Self Care with Cathy Z.

There is a woman in Minnesota that I adore. Her name is Cathy and every year when I get her Christmas card I think to myself, “Dang. She is so cool and I kinda can’t believe we’re friends!” I’ll never forget the day I first saw a scrapbook page she designed, or the day I picked her up and drove her to an editorial meeting for Simple Scrapbooks magazine. I knew in my gut that I needed her, that my magazine needed her—and we both did! She rocks design and uses color brilliantly and takes amazing photos and writes with humor and honesty—and it speaks to me (all of it) on so many levels. Learning from Cathy is one of the best and smartest things I’ve done personally and professionally—and TODAY I’m sharing a way that YOU can do the same.

Hi everyone,

Cathy Zielske here and I want to invite you to document a different kind of story in 2020: the story of your self-care!

For the past 10 years, I’ve been leading an online course designed to both motivate you on the health, fitness and general self-care front, as well as to document and track the story as you go!

And what makes me qualified to do such a thing? GREAT question. I have an answer: I’m a human who has been working to take care of myself in a responsible way for years. And let me put an emphasis on the ‘human’ part because over the years I’ve nailed it at times, been a bit behind on it, or simply found myself somewhere in the middle.

I’m also a scrapbooker who loves to share and document my own story, something both Stacy and I feel VERY passionate about!

But last year at the ripe young age of 53, I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and figured it was time to see what I could do to do a bit better. The good news? Five months into 2019,  after making some key changes to the way I was eating (not so much the moving part, thanks in part to a knee injury), my blood pressure was back to normal and apparently I’ve staved off the need for medication as of today.

Using the tracking materials and journaling each month helped me to stay the course and keep working to be responsible for my self-care. If I’ve learned anything over the many years I’ve offered this type of online class, it’s that I have to be responsible for myself. People in my life love and care for me, yes, but they aren’t going to make me eat well, or get out for a walk, or take time off of work… or anything that is designed to help me operate at the most optimum level possible for me. That job is all mine.

Documenting and tracking alone won’t get it done, friends. YOU have to show up and put yourself on the To Do list! I’ll provide all the printable (and digitals!) that you need to tell the story in multiple ways, and I’ll bring you a monthly podcast message to keep you coming back and reconnecting to your goals. Plus, we’ll create a very warm and supportive community in a private Facebook group.

This isn’t just about numbers on a scale. It’s about gaining the competence to know YOU can take care of you.

Take advantage of the $28 early bird registration fee through January 15, 2020. Click on the image below to read the complete course description.

I’ve love to have you join me for Fit 2020!
