Ideas with Heidi Swapp
Today I have my dear friend, Heidi Swapp on the show with me.
When I think of ideas and I want inspiration—next to TED talks, I turn to Heidi and I finally get to “sit down” with her and talk about her ideation process. You are going to love this conversation because Heidi is so real and honest. She opens up about spontaneity and how problems and deadlines drive many if not most of her ideas. Important elements of idea generation for Heidi are time, space and movement. Even if you don’t know the goal or have a clear definition of where you’re headed, IF you start taking steps, you engage your brain in solution seeking. Heidi will open up about losing her teenage son to suicide and how grieving blocked creativity and how since then she has learned to better prioritize self care.
Heidi mentioned Movara Fitness Resort. Here’s a link.

See? Amazing ideas and some made puffy paint skills.
You’ll hear about one of Heidi’s BEST ideas ever and about an entire year that was so hard it felt like failure at the time. She later came to see that those intense trials actually proved to be fruitful ground for preparation.
Looking forward to a NEW year of planning. Here’s Heidi’s planner stuff on Amazon!
I’d LOVE to hear your thoughts on this episode with Heidi and about how you’ve learned to nurture your own ideation.
Thanks for listening!
