July, August & September

Our theme is Ideas

In July, August and September our theme is IDEAS. One source defines an idea as a thought, belief, opinion or plan. A 2020 study from Queen’s University suggests that humans generate more than 6,000 thoughts per day. That is potentially a LOT of ideas. Where do YOU get your best ideas? How do you track them, share and/or use them? Stories are ideas. When we document a story, we’re honoring and preserving an idea about how we perceive the world and the people, places and things important to us. What would happen if we were more playful, productive and present with our ideas. Who could we help? What problems could we solve? What new stories could we tell?

Rote the Quote

To be perpetually thrilled with life need not detract from the solidarity of your goals or the soberness of your purpose.

Let’s READ a Book!

Joyful by Ingrid Fetell Lee

Our collective read for the summer is Joyful by Ingrid Fetell Lee, and we will be discussing it together on Tuesday, September 27th at 4:00PM PT. Check it out at your local library or purchase your own copy.

In her book, Ingrid Fetell Lee invites us to discover how to see and cultivate joy in our surroundings. She explores the psychology of things like energy and play and how to find joy in the everyday things all around us.

Register on Zoom for the summer book club.

Let’s MAKE a project!

There is a LOT there, but you can work through or review it at your own pace. I will refer to principles taught in this class often.
