Light the World ❤️ with LOVE
Have many T-shirts have you seen pop up on Instagram that say something about kindness? Kindness is definitely trending, but, I think we need to help those T-shirts slogans along? And I have a FAB idea for HOW in December …
Actionable kindness and LOVE are at the center of the ✨Light the World✨ campaign this year and I for one am SO EXCITED. ❤️ I am ALL-IN on starting early and making the most of this opportunity to fill my home and holiday season with KINDNESS.
I am going to light the world (around me) with LOVE.
If by chance you’re not familiar with this annual initiative sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, then you’ll want to start by watching the video below. I absolutely adore this 2021 video because of the way the modern story parallels the Luke 2 story—I also really love how the music (listen carefully) transitions from the expected tune to a familiar Christmas hymn.
See if you can guess the hymn!
You can visit the official ✨Light The World✨ site HERE.
AND, here’s a scrappy thought: There are so many in the memory keeping space that participate in Ali Edward’s December Daily.
When you print the ✨Light The World✨ calendar you have a month full of ideas that would create photo-taking and memory-making opportunities to enrich your December Daily with family FUN and service. I have already downloaded this PDF calendar—so if you want to stay right here, you can click NOW to print your copy!
Plus, there’s also a children’s calendar.
Prepare yourself: I’m going to be talking about this a LOT this year. I truly believe we (all of us) can make a difference in our world RIGHT NOW, as we work to emerge from these past two years. We can turn to Jesus Christ, learn of him, follow his example and decide that we ALL have a lot more in common than not—even if you don’t believe in Jesus Christ or celebrate a faith-based Christmas. Why not get curious. Learn something new and play along—it’s just kindness after all.
Here’s what’s true: By small and simple things, great things are brought to pass. So by doing little acts of kindness daily—TOGETHER—we can make a huge difference in December.
🎄 Who’s with me?
Can we light the world with LOVE this Christmas season?
